We asked for a room on the 4th floor (top floor) with a view and that's what we got. We could see the Goldengate Bridge most of the time (some fog). Our room was clean. Everything worked. Wallpaper needed repair in a few places but this was not a deterrent to our stay. We did walk to the warf area and the cable car station near Ghirardelli's, but it was a little too far for me. It was 1.4 miles to pier 39. I am 77 years old and i did manage to walk both directions one day. Another day we took Uber both ways.
Room was nice and clean and I especially liked the space of the bathroom. The staff at check in just seemed out of it and didn’t really care about the customers
I had high hopes for this property but now I understand why it was at such a low price point. The facilities are old, retired… sheets are clean and bathroom works, along w it’s appliances but the room we were at smelled like people have smoked in there before and it was dusty behind the beds — an electric plug wasn’t easily accessible at night to charge my phone —old wallpaper, old bed frames — cool if that’s what you’re looking for but the microwave was bolted to the mini refrigerator — i hope that gives you an idea. We checked out after the first night and got a refund for the extra nights we pre-paid.
I don’t recommend this hotel
Very nice people and very respectful. They took care of us right away even though we arrived late at night. I will recommend this hotel to everyone. The heater was really working and the room was cozy.
Good Location-walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf & free parking! Upstairs tenant was walking around throughout the night and had his TV on so due Thinner walls and ceiling it was quite loud.
Unfortunately it is not as clean and as organized as it was a couple of years ago
I booked a room with 2 bed, when I got there I was given a room with 1 bed . I had to wait and told the stuff to check their system or something. Well short story I was finally given what I paid for, but to my surprise the room that we got , was so dirty, the bathroom wasn’t working and the bed sheets were ripped and smell dirty . I do not recommend this place . I had a bad experience.
The people at the desk are racist, homophobic and discriminatory. I would not advise staying here, we have file formal complaints with multiple agencies.
The property itself was ok, we knew by the reviews that it was not the greatest hotel but the location was good for short walking to the pier and other things to do. We did not like the noise it was horrible in the room so we didnt get much sleep.
The picture attached to this hotel does not match any of the rooms actually rented at the hotel. The rooms are very small, and there is very little room within. The room we had was quite dark, due to the poor lighting . Rather than the nice round table in the picture, we got only a small rectangular table against one wall. The window was broken, and couldn't be locked, and the drapes would not close. When we attempted to resolve our room issues, they lady at the desk apologized and said, sorry, all the rooms are like this one... Bottom line: The hotel location is great, the hotel, meh. Not recommended.
The property is within easy walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, and has the advantage of free parking. Breakfast consists of donuts and instant coffee - not what I expected, but overall, I was satisfied with my stay and would book again
The location of the hotel is great, a 15 min walk to Fisherman's wharf. However, the hotel was expensive and the quality of the room no where near matched the price.
The beds were really uncomfortable. I would have paid more per night for better beds. As other guests have mentioned, don't bother with their continental breakfast. It's really gross doughnuts and that's about it. The location was decent and close to plenty of public transit that got you wherever you needed to go. The price was affordable. I felt safe at all times.
Close to fisherman’s warf. Beds uncomfortable. Liked the big bathroom and free parking.
TV didn’t work and the staff could not help fix it. I requested a refund to leave and find another hotel and they couldn’t refund me.
