The edgy look
Location was great but the number one reason we will go back to this hotel whenever we are in San Francisco again was customer service and, in particular, Gitanjali. She was amazing: very professional and courteous and gave us excellent recommendations regarding restaurants and parking. She was really caring and suggested that we should leave our luggage at the hotel while we visited the Fisherman's Wharf, which made us feel much safer. The only negative about the hotel was that it was noisy at night due to public works in the street but it didn't last all night and the room had a built-in white noise machine.
Cool hotel, rooms nicely furnished, comfortable beds.
The staff working there were very friendly and helpful. Room and shared common areas were very clean. Hotel showers are usually a hit or miss but this one was great. Will be coming back.
Excellent staff, David was wonderful. Enjoyed the hotel.
The staff here were amazing! You can tell that they really worked hard to keep everything sanitary and safe, and were incredibly courteous and helpful. The hotel is also super cute. Would love to visit again in a non-pandemic time.
This is a unique place in San Francisco tapping into beatnik past of the city. They remind you that there is a poet in everyone to the extent that there is a pencil and paper asking you to write a poem. I did. The design of the room, lobby is exsquisite. Giant bathroom was a surprize. It had modern hip style and psychedelic floor tiles. A popular morning cafe is connecting to a lobby. And late night diner is two steps away. I loved it. This is the kind of places San Francisco deserves.
I was given a choice for the view! Loved the hotel and it’s uniqueness, price, and look!
This property was so charming from the moment we walked in the door. The front desk staff were so sweet and accommodating. The decor was super chic and unique. A feast on the eyes around every corner. The craft cocktails from the bartender Nora were nothing short of amazing and delicious. The fresh water and cookie station on every floor was a nice treat. Also we told the front desk that we were on our tenth anniversary trip and they surprised us with champagne in our room. I have to say this property was also located in an excellent location for us. We were able to walk to union square, Fishermans wharf and pier 39, and within a few minute walk from excellent food stops.
I feel it's always a gamble staying at a smaller non-chain hotel like this... but usually find them to be a refreshing alternative. This is a great little place. Nicely updated with a little funk thrown in. Nice bar, GREAT staff. Ticked off all the must and like to have options.
Nice hotel-we stayed for two nights and would stay again. Was our first time to sf and we spent too much time around where the hotel is- which is also more of the tourist business area with a lot of Homeless people.
