As you enter, ThebPalace hotel seems to transport you back in time. It is absolutely stunning. Staff were extremely friendly offering my daughter and her friends some chocolate goodies upon our arrival, they spotted that we were there to celebrate a birthday. We got two rooms and both were very clean, large for SF, with beautiful decor. 10 minute walk to union sq, ferry building, north beach. Would definitely recommend.

I loved this grand hotel . They have done a great job updating the spaces with a mix of contemporary and classic design . The room was nice but way too trendy for my tastes . The bathroom is just ok and squeezed into the original footprint . The vent in the door allows no privacy . I was not impressed with either bar area . Overall this is a good pick for location and old world glamour. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Great experience. Meals were expensive, but the dining areas were beautiful. We opted not to eat there more than twice

Location was central for our needs. Beautiful old hotel. Wish our room and bathroom was bigger, but for an old hotel it is understandable, and was well appointed, so that kind of makes up for the size. We would stay here again. Enjoyed the indoor pool. The Atrium at lobby is gorgeous.

Beautifully restored hotel with comfortable rooms with high ceilings and very helpful staff. Great location -- walking distance to ferry building, cable car, union sq., etc.

The Palace hotel is a beautiful hotel with nice and clean rooms, very comfortable beds, and a good location. However, the service at the hotel was often not what you would expect from the price you pay. For example, check in process was fine but when we came back to get the keys there was a ton of confusion in getting the keys to three different rooms, even though they were all under my name. When I communicated to the front desk that we had dinner reservations and we were under a tight timeframe and asked for our bags to be delivered asap, we were met with a comment that "the bags would be delivered whenever they had a chance." When the bellhop finally brought up the bags, he lingered around our rooms and knocked on each individual door looking for a tip, which was extremely inappropriate and tacky. We were all in varied states of undress due to our tight dinner reservations and it was just a completely bad experience and not one you would expect for such an expensive hotel. In addition, it took us three calls over 3-4 hours to the front desk to get extra shampoo and conditioner. Also, it took us two calls to the front desk to have someone come to the room to fix the AC that was not working properly. Technician was super helpful when he arrived but annoying we had to follow up. I also think that a daily wifi fee of $15 is a ripoff and should be included in the price of the room, given the cost. This is 2017, not 1999. Wifi is a basic amenity.

The "Best" maid service I've have ever had in an hotel! Beautiful Hotel of the past, brought forward with beautiful updates to the rooms and lobby!

The Hotel and staff are great. I wish the room had a dresser to keep your clothes in. We stayed a week and there is nowhere to keep your clothes other than the hanging clothes in the closet so we had to keep the suit cases out all the time, making the room a little cluttered and messy.

AC in the suite was not working. Staff was very friendly. Concierge services, especially Dennis, were very helpful. Good location. Can easily walk to Union Square. F Trolly right outside. Food & Beverage a little pricey.

Best hotel we've ever stayed at. They pay attention to every detail.

Absolutely beautiful facility. All staff very professional and accommodating. Very busy street, so finding a spot to pull in for valet was not super easy. We checked in 1/2 hr early and room was not ready. They said it would be ready by 3 and that they would text me. At 3:45 I asked at the desk and they said it was ready. That was kind of a bummer to wait that long with a small child. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

Overall we had a very nice experience. The concierge was friendly but lacked helpful info and enthusiasm. The hotel does not have realistic dining options mostly drinks and appetizers. They offer bfast but it is very expensive for what you get especially compared to what is near by. The room was gorgeous unfortunately our ac didn't work quite right but they fixed it promptly and were very helpful and considerate. The hotel is stunning and immaculate and is right next door to a Ghirardelli location and the hotel is filled with delicious smells. Overall, I took my wife here for our anniversary and it was worth it.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was on the smaller side and the bathroom was very small. Was there for a girl's trip and there was no mirror in the room, only in the bathroom. So if someone is using the bathroom, then there is no access to the mirror to get ready.

we were on our 2nd business trip staying here and you can't ask for a better accommodating place - and yes its a Palace - clean room - great housekeeping staff - courteous hotel staff - Helpful - insightful - just down right Perfect trip.

The hotel is beautiful and the room was exemplorary. The thumbs down issues were the hot tub didn't work. We called front desk about dinner reservations and were told resteraunt was still open but it was not. The Pied Piper bar had limited menu, so ended up getting a taxi and going back out.

The Palace was a wonderful place to stay for a few nights in San Francisco. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff were very accommodating. The indoor pool and hot tub, gym, and really delicious breakfast buffet in the morning were great additions to the experience. Housekeeping, especially, did an amazing job. I was very impressed by how clean and organized my room was left everyday in a timely manner.

The staff was very friendly and greated us every time we walked up to the door. The hotel had an awesome early 1900s entry and dome. Overall it was a great experience.

Loved the location, staff, and room. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 on room rating is that there is no place to put your clothes, you must live out of your suitcase, literally.

I booked a double queen bed but the hotel only had a king bed available when I checked in.

Arrived too early to check in but was still given a great room hours before check-in. Had a wonderful, perfect stay.
