Safe and clean

Staff was rude, there were multiple incidents otherwise I will never write a poor review.

I was supposed to stay there nights but left after one. I could hear one person coughing all night and another person vomiting outside all night. There is no a/c so window has to be open. The room was extremely dingy. The sink is not in the bathroom. The outlet is not near the sink/mirror. The hair dryer did not work. The bed was super soft. They would not give me a refund for both nights I did not stay. I did not feel safe or comfortable. The staff is friendly.

Location is very convinient to explore the city. Hotel is very dated, everything needs to be renovated

I just needed a place for the night. I was going to be SF for less than 24 hrs and needed a place to sleep and get fresh before a meeting in the morning. this was closes to work and appropriate. Wouldn't recommend it for any long stays. The room was tidy. I used an actual key (not a key card) to stay there. Haven't seen that in many years.

This hotel was the cheapest option near moscone. I would recommend it except for the beds are extremely hard. If you like hard beds though it is a good budget option. It includes breakfast but unfortunately the hours aren't conducive to an early start. Breakfast doesn't start until 8am. It is a simple continental breakfast (cereal, bagel oatmeal). They give you tickets to the room which is in a kitchen and sort of hostel style. The room itself was clean and spacious. Although we had a corner room so I don't know if that is typical. Only complaint is the really hard bed!

Shabby and dirty room. Lazy house keeping. Very noisy room, no ventilation, very stuffy. The bed is a cheap $50 mattress that squeaks with very turn.

The lobby smell like pee. The elevator felt like it was going to collapse. The hallways are 80 years old. The rooms are not as shown on picture. The TV screen is 12". The beds are stained and felt like card board. We checked out within 30 seconds after we saw the room! Not Good.

I booked this hotel to spend one night with my little sister and my mother, the front desk makes you think that the hotel is nice but then I realized that I was throwing my money away! The elevator wasn´t working well, I was concerned about it was broken and hoped and prayed not to fall or stuck in it. The room was not clean, the towels were dirty and the entire room as well, noisy and the smell was so stinky like somebody peed on the carpet. Then the sheets and covers of beds were so old and when I saw a pillow, it had a blood stain not in the pillow case that was white, but into the pillow itself. I felt so nervous about it and also there was a bed bug. Immediately I called the front desk to tell that we were leaving because that was no healthy and to have a full refund. They did and so I had to look for another hotel 40 miles away but so much better.

Good for staying nearby Chinatown and walking distance to the Moscone Convention Center.

Good location. Walking distance to shopping district and convention center. Rooms are small but clean. Definitely awesome choice for solo travellers going for convention etc.

Terrible... Room 315 is probably the worst for the money... Small, tight, comforter looked dirty, everything is in need of repair... bed is horrible! Some sites state that Astoria has continental breakfast - not any more..Central location - that's the only one thing what is good about Astoria

Got bitten multiple times by bed bugs. Checked out immediately the next morning. The savings aren't worth it.
