Check-in was a bit awkward, but they told me that they were changing the system. Otherwise, our stay was as advertised. Nice, little European-style boutique hotel right off Union Square. Would return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous and not only did I receive a free upgrade, but a free bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates! The continental breakfast was decent. I didn’t make it to the free cocktail hour but when I walked by people seemed to be enjoying it.

Took a chance on a small boutique hotel. Hit the jackpot! My new go to hotel anytime I’m in SF!

Vey attractive suite. Windows that open. Simple and attractive furnishings. Each floor has a "parlor" with seating, sink, ice and refrigerator.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Great location, great staff, great facilities. Only minor issue we had was there is no AC and we were there at the hottest time of the year. Other rooms seemed nice and cool so ours may have just been in a bad location but there are ceiling fans to help. This is a very minor thing and the only thing we could be nitpicky about. Really nice hotel and would highly recommend it.

Great Hospitality! Awesome happy hour, very clean and close to everything.

A great experience! Staff couldn't have been more accommodating to help with any request. They showed they genuinely cared. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simply delicious, and the wine and cheese we had every evening was a really nice touch.

The staff at The Inn at Union Square went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We will be staying here for all future trips to this great city!

Try It! You won't regret it! Unless you're into the chain hotels that the staff doesn't remember your name or even care to. This is a Very Nice Boutique Hotel. With only 30 rooms it gives them the ability to get to know each and every guest, and they do it well. Omar is great, and Ann needs to work for Disney, Just to name a few, All staff are just fantastic. Had a Deluxe King and the room was great for an older building. No view since this is a skinny bldg. but if you are in San Francisco for views from your room, you're in the wrong city. The bathroom was small, but then its a small bldg. Complimentary Continental Breakfast is available daily on the 3rd and 5th floors from 7am to 10am. Every Night from 5:30 pm to 7pm, the Inn hosts a complimentary evening wine and cheese reception, also on the 3rd and 5th floors. Warm in house baked cookies with coffee, cocoa or tea after 8 pm. Only downside is no AC, but you do not need it, the window opens, there is a ceiling fan in the room, and a portable fan. Try it, you won't be dissapointed.

A very small but cozy hotel that provides excellent service to the customers. The room decoration is pretty much like the family bedroom. Nothing to complain.

The Inn offered a high level of personal customer service. We loved our stay!

I was worried at first that no A/C but weather was great and with ceiling fan and window open was extremely comfortable. The Staff was extremely knowledgable about restaurants and things to do. Morning continental breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese were very relaxing and enjoyed meeting other guests. The location is the best. Recommend to everyone!!!

Located in the heart of union square. Within walking distance. Accommodations were good enough. No view. So, if that's what you are looking for this boutique hotel is not for you.

Our stay was lovely. The Junior Suite was roomy and comfortable and nicely decorated as well as quiet. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Wine tasting on the 3rd floor was an intimate affair getting to chat with Wayne, the Innkeeper. And breakfast was just a short stroll from our room to the lounge on our floor with an array of delicious offerings from granola to bagels and pastries and eggs and fruit. The Inn is located right at Union Square, and a trolley ride to the Wharf or a 20 minute walk to the Ferry Building. We look forward to our next stay at The Inn at Union Square.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn at union Square. The inn is centrally located with access to the Powell/Market street car. The F antique car was minutes away on Zmarket street accessing all of Fisherman's Warf. Although no view outside of our window, in interior is thoroughly clean and impressive. Free wireless internet is provided. A nice continental breakfast is provided free each morning. There is also a free wine and cheese reception each evening. Turn down bed service is provided each night along with chocolates at bedside. Two bottles of water are left each night for your next days adventures. If you are looking for a massive hotel lobby, then this inn is not for you. If you appreciate all of the above plus a friendly and helpful staff, stay here, you won"t regret it.

Beautiful little property with an excellent location. Lovely, friendly staff, fabulous continental breakfast and other amenities. My room was quiet, completely renovated and new, ultra clean, bright bathroom/new fixtures. Will be sure to stay again!

My mother and I spent a few days in San Fran. We stayed at the Inn and it was perfect. Great location in the middle of Union Square. The staff were super friendly, going above the normal expected customer service. The rooms were small but when visiting a city all you do is sleep and shower in the room anyway! Room and bathroom were immaculate. Hot breakfast, wine & cheese @ 5:30pm and hot cookies at 8:45pm-- really great to help reduce costs when staying in a big city. If I ever get back to San Fran, I will stay at the Inn in Union Square. Fantastic!!

The Inn at Union Square provides better service than most four star hotels. From the continental breakfast, to daily wine/cheese tastings, evening cookies, and nightly turndown service with chocolates and complimentary bottled water, and complimentary shoe shine, the service could not have been better. The front desk staff were welcoming and attentive and always willing to assist with any request. The King Deluxe room was small, but spotless and very comfortable. Location was amazing. We were half a block from the cable cars and within two blocks of all other transportation options. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby. The only amenity that was lacking was air conditioning. We were there during a fairly warm period in September and the room was a little stuffy at night, even with the windows opened.
