The Inn has a very small “street footprint” with virtually no lobby and, of course, no restaurant. The room I had was clean and well serviced during my stay. The area of the city surrounding the hotel was OK - it was close to the infamous Tenderloin area but did not feel particularly unsafe. There was a fairly good selection of restaurants in the vicinity. Despite these minor caveats, I think the hotel is a suitable destination for your trip to SF.

Was very surprised with our stay! The hotel is in one of the busiest neighborhoods in the City, but our room was very quiet even though it was on the 2nd floor. When we opened the door, we were shocked to find it was basically a suite: bedroom, living room, and bathroom in the middle. The bed was super comfy, the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay! Would definitely stay here again when we're next in SF.

Great hotel. Location great. Great price.

Excellent place to stay around Union Square - friendly staff, spacious clean rooms and close to transit/tourist attractions. Free coffee from Peets is a bonus.

Very clean. Pretty rooms. Super comfy beds. Nice and quiet w great blackout drapes for sleeping in. But no 24 hr staff. Only there certain hours.

It was fully automated, I did meet one of the staff and she let me know they're going back to a front desk and the old key card system, but it was very easy to check in, room was quiet and clean, very comfortable bed, Union Square is close to EVERYTHING!

Check-in was a bit awkward, but they told me that they were changing the system. Otherwise, our stay was as advertised. Nice, little European-style boutique hotel right off Union Square. Would return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous and not only did I receive a free upgrade, but a free bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates! The continental breakfast was decent. I didn’t make it to the free cocktail hour but when I walked by people seemed to be enjoying it.

Took a chance on a small boutique hotel. Hit the jackpot! My new go to hotel anytime I’m in SF!

Vey attractive suite. Windows that open. Simple and attractive furnishings. Each floor has a "parlor" with seating, sink, ice and refrigerator.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Great location, great staff, great facilities. Only minor issue we had was there is no AC and we were there at the hottest time of the year. Other rooms seemed nice and cool so ours may have just been in a bad location but there are ceiling fans to help. This is a very minor thing and the only thing we could be nitpicky about. Really nice hotel and would highly recommend it.

Great Hospitality! Awesome happy hour, very clean and close to everything.

A great experience! Staff couldn't have been more accommodating to help with any request. They showed they genuinely cared. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simply delicious, and the wine and cheese we had every evening was a really nice touch.

The staff at The Inn at Union Square went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We will be staying here for all future trips to this great city!
