Parc 55 San Francisco - A Hilton Hotel

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Overall nice hotel to stay in with lots of restaurants around, easy transportation to interesting spots. However, out of six nights stay, two days the room was not cleaned and not very good response from management. Bathroom needs a few hooks to hang your clothes and towels on. There should be two chairs in the room.

Absolutely perfect central location for first time visit!

It was good, didn't like that you have to pay for WIFI.

The hotel is located next to the Powell Station, close to 5 minutes walking to Union Square, but very close to Eddy Street, the most horrendous street in the area where you can find a lot of homeless and scary people, not good for a family of even a couple stay. They offered me to "upgrade" my room by paying 50 USD more per night on top of the 215 USD that i had payed already, they charged 50 USD per night "just-in-case" or would not be able to stay inn, also i was told that my room was ready for me, but if i wanted to receive the keys of my room i had to pay 25 USD more, due to early check-in.

Hotel is a little dated, our room was very basic, but clean and comfortable. Not bad.

I was amazed that this 4-Star Hilton Propoerty in San Francisco didn't offer Room Service of any kind, at any hour. The pricing is exactly the same as their competition in that class, Hyatt Regency, Marriott etc. Won't be staying there again

Great hotel, great location. Near the center of everything!! Mall to the right, stores to the right. And restaurants, here there and everywhere!

It was relaxing and easy to get to shops and dinning.

This was our second experience staying at the Parc 55 Hotel. Great location, walking distance from the BART, lots of shopping areas, restaurants of all kinds. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, clean and roomy, the staff is friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that we arrived at 11am, with check in being at 3pm. We were told that no rooms were available, so we had to occupy ourselves until then. After a long flight, we were hoping to get into a room and rest before getting out.

Carpets were old and smelled need to be replaced. Escalator broken.

Hotel was great, service very good , rooms were nice with everything you needed. Only complaint was the dining options. Breakfast was $34.00 per person and nothing more then a typical buffet. They had a option out in the lobby for a to/go coffee and muffin for $7.00. Typically we like to start our day with breakfast at the hotel and move on from there and a occasional dinner or drink. Cost for this restaurant were not in comparison with hotel.

Lobby looks like that of a 4 star hotel except they lock their bathrooms from the transients and guests need a key. So, when a homeless person does come by and you are trying to open the door they go in with you. Rooms are mediocre, like a 3 star hotel. Pretty small and dated.

Nice workout room with view of neighborhood. Location of hotel is a plus. The lobby is upstairs (escalator), so the entrance itself is not very impressive. Close to tendeloin district, so fringe element is virtually 2 blocks or so from hotel entrance. I would rate this a nice option for those seeking a large brand hotel with amenities.

The staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Location was excellent. Beds were like sleeping on clouds. Minor thing was lack of exhaust fan in bathroom. Still I give the hotel a 5 rating

Great location but disappointing for a Hilton Hotel. The room's aircon was really noisy. The beds pillows were flat. If you can get a great price it may be worth it for the location.

We enjoyed our stay at Parc 55. Rooms re: comfort and cleanliness were excellent. Staff that we encountered were nice but no one went out of their way to be extremely helpful. The girl in the store when buying water was very rude. She couldn't be bothered to get off her phone and help us. The front desk people were nice but again did not go out of their way to answer questions. I have stayed at Parc 55 before and would happily stay again. Overall a very good experience. A pleasant discovery -- we rented a car for a day from Enterprise, which is just a block away, and learned that we could return it to our valet service at Parc 55 and they would get it back to Enterprise at no charge. So we did not have to have the car back before 6 pm when Enterprise closed we just returned it to our valet after 10 pm when we got back. That was really great as we could get to wine country and beach!!

Some of the reviews had me running for the hills after booking but in reality these reviewers are not likely very "sophisticated" travellers. The area is not DANGEROUS, there are some "characters" and plenty of homeless if you walk south but I comfortably, and without fear, strolled with my 3 year old and 6 month old and I'm a 5ft2 woman. Otherwise the rooms were clean, not sure why but they upgraded us to a high floor, gave us wifi (I've read it isn't free but think it is) and all was clean. A bit small to be honest and honestly the bathroom, while clean, could use updating but great staff and great stay!!!

The hotel has beautiful views, I had the urban view which was great.

Sadly to say everything at your facility was about money, $6 for a bottle of water that was left in room, parking at hotel not included, breakfast costs. Everything cost money we were almost afraid to use anything.

At time of booking request for higher floor but when I ask during check in for higher floor, she told me unless I pay for it??? Orbitz representative did not tell me when I make a booking !

Thank you so much for the feedback. We apologize for not having room service at the hotel. Our Cable 55 restaurant on the 2nd floor will be happy to place a to-go order for you to enjoy in your room or our Concierge can recommend some great restaurants that deliver for your next visit. Thank you again for staying at Parc 55!
