Great hotel, the street outside suffers from dirtyness that makes san fran so charming

Great stay

Great location, within walking distance to shops and eateries. The staff were very friendly, we were provided incorrect directions which was unfortunate for us, however overall staff were super nice. The facility is older, the linens on the bed (very comfortable), bathroom and towels were clean. Our queen room very small, the carpet old and stained, room phone dirty with dried debris, tray with keurig k-cups was dirty; not sure why they were in the room as there was no coffee keurig or pot. The hotel only has one small elevator which only has a holding capacity of four people in it. We had to take the stairs several times from the six floor; stairs are very narrow; I was super dizzy by the time I got to the lobby and or my room. There was a drunk guest outside our door being belligerent at 12:30 AM; we called the front desk to report. The employee stated she would have security look into it and for us to call back if the noise continued. There was no security; the guest finally located their room key and continued to be obnoxious for another thirty minutes. The hotel was not horrible, but not amazing either; it was adequate.

Good Location,Because Near The union Square,Downtown SF and Chinatown.

Very good location.. close to stores, transportation, restaurants and convenient stores. Staff super friendly and professional, the room was clean and quiet. Definitely a very good choice to stay in SF.

Good.

it is an Ok hotel. Old, tiny rooms, one small elevator which means lines and waiting. I wouldn't stay there again.

It’s a very nice looking hotel. It has a bed and breakfast feel and is in the middle of everything. They let me store my luggage until after I went on a cruise around alcatraz. The bad is that it costs quite a bit just to park your car. It’s $38 a day. You have to park across the street and they’ll help you unload your vehicle from their but to load it back they will require you to drive your car around and park it. That takes a few minutes. The only bad about the hotel itself is that it has an incredibly small elevator and it broke near checkout time and I had to walk down 7 flights of incredibly narrow stairs. Being disabled this wasn’t very easy. I checked out, told them the elevator had broken and had to wait until it worked to bring my luggage and girlfriend down. She is also disabled and would have struggled more than I going down them. I loved our stay, I loved being so close to the Curran theater. We came to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. You won’t find a closer hotel. There are 2 diners, a Steakhouse, a Jack in the Box, and Cheesecake Factory within walking distance.

Staff is Friendly and knowledgeable

Loved staying at King George Hotel. First time visiting San Fransico. Got off the BART and walked two blocks to the hotel. Great location. Spent 3 days doing day/night walks to Fishermans Warf, Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square. The nearby restaurants were simple and great. The hotel provided a downtown, San Franciso feel. Expect city noise and a historical hotel boutique feel. We loved it but know what you're paying for. The staff were very professional and very friendly. We requested a mini-frig and quiet room. Ended up on 9th floor in back area. Opening the windows, we could hear the night-time city sounds, which we enjoyed.

Great location and the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

A very clean hotel and a reasonably priced option given the location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice but inexpensive

Was called white trash by a girl named Amy at front desk.

Very cozy room! Staff pleasant.
