Stanford Court San Francisco

The hotel had some renovations done. Located almost on the top of the hill. Very accessible, you have to take the trolley 🚋 or the bart system and you can see the north and south of the whole city. The hotel is very clean and room has an ample space.

The lobby and valet area of the Stanford Court is undergoing renovations which take from the overall quality of the visit. It's located in a great area with cable car lines directly outside.

I knew beforehand the hotel is undergoing renovations. So I will not comment on the construction site look of the lobby. However, renovations should not translate into mediocrity. The breakfast is a joke and the offerings are below what you find in a free buffet at a budget property. I can't believe decent pastries, a clean toaster and ice to refrigerate yogurt can't be located in SF. To add insult to injury, tables are not bussed and we had to clean our own while the lady sitting at the register was busy entering tips (yes, it is not free!) on her computer. We had to pay an amenity fee at checkout. When we asked why, we were told it was for the free coffee in the lobby and the paying (not free) internet service. The only helpful staff was housekeeping, Overall a disappointment and inexcusable neglect.

The hotel lobby, entrance and restaurant are currently under renovation, which would be ok if they told you about it ahead of time. Long walk to reception desk and elevator (I was with my 87 year-old mom who is in great shape, and it was difficult and inconvenient for her). Rooms are incredibly shabby, though spacious, and lack the simplest of necessities. Terrible lighting, no make-up mirrors, inadequate and clumsy clothes storage. The worst is the daily $22 "facility fee" for in-room water (they provide you with bottles which you have to fill yourself on the first floor!), use of their gym and coffee which you make yourself in your room. A huge disappointment. Will never stay there again.

A little anoying not told it was under construction when I booked. Good location tho. Only there for one night so it was good but wouldn't want to stay longer

Room house keeper Chinese lady lazy n they are only Chinese talk each other to Chinese durning working hour.

Nice, clean great location to everything. Very comfortable beds.

We made reservations months in advance and thought the hotel could have let us know that their dining facilities and bar were nonexistent due to remodeling! Alternate arrangements were not acceptable. Disappointing!

We loved our stay! It's close to everything. The hills were no problem to walk.

Rooms were a bit dated but clean and most areas were impacted by the current renovation which we were not aware of prior to arriving. The location was great and staff were friendly enough.

This was our second visit to the Stanford Hotel and we found our room quite nice again. Bedding is super comfy. Our check in host took care to provide us with a quiet pleasing room with a fabulous city view. The hotel is undergoing major construction in lobby area with room decor updates to follow but the value for this hotel is still outstanding for its location, hospitality and comfort.

On a steel hill so challenging for the elderly or disabled. No room service at this time. Jusy beginning renovations so lots of construction.

When we arrived we were put off by the very poor decor of the exterior and interior of the entry, not to speak of the only difficult staff person we met. But our room was very nicely renovated with comfortable beds to come back to after days of walking. Great location.

Room quaint but small; food options inside hotel need more options!

Hotel is being upgraded. Seems to be working as common areas are comfortable. My room had Street noises, especially at 5am trash pick up.

Comfortable bed nice shower pressure, the pillowcase was not changed since there was hair on the other side upon checking in so felt uncomfortable, location good but it's on a steep hill if you walking

This was my second time at Stanford Court and I'm definitely going to make it a third time. It's extremely convenient, but still away from the noise of market street. Highly recommend!

This hotel was more that we bargained for. We knew we want to have good access to public transportation, in a safe area of town. I chose this hotel because of location and price. The hotel staff was most accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There was access to Hotel restaurant, we found it very pricey, but there were many local eateries nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family or friends and if I ever go back I would more than likely stay there again.

Don't do it! Great staff but it's not worth all the HIDDEN FEES. Including parking plus parking tax, urban fee plus urban fee tax it costs $82.08/day plus the daily rate. The rooms are small typical boutique style but the bathrooms are reminiscent of a highway motel (rusting, mildew, lent balls in light fixtures). Also, this hotel is atop a very steep, acute angle hill!

Very friendly staff! The service is 5 star and I would stay here again.
