My husband and I love the Mission District of San Francisco and we booked this lovely Victorian home B & B for a short stay before we headed up to wine country ! We have to say this home is the most unique place we have ever stayed at ! It is filled with amazing artifacts from the travels of Sheila Ash , the amazing owner of Noe's Nest ! The home is colorful, comfortable , eccentric in a very cooool way - she made us feel so at home right away and we just loved her - she is a fashion stylist (specializing in vintage clothing ) and food writer and a joy to deal with :-) Each morning we were drawn to her kitchen where her wonderful gal Shasta would have an amazing and deliscious breakfast buffet waiting for us that she prepared fresh with love each day - <3 So much to choose from and great conversations with her ! And we have to add the gardens outside were absolutely beautiful - just wish we could have stayed longer at this amazing B & B ! Linda and Richard from Chicago

My trip would not have been the same If I had not stayed here. The staff was great, Ash was lovely and you could tell how passionate she was about Noes Nest and about meeting other people in general. The breakfast was delicious! the garden is a perfect location to start the day with some coffee.. and to end the day with some wine. I recommend the room that walks into the garden. I've always wanted to feel whats its like to have lived in San Fran... this was ideal. went to the local bars (great location), then to the park and walked back to the B&B late at night and it was just like going back to a beautiful typical san fran house. you couldn't possibly experience that at a hotel. Thank you I had a great time and expect to be back sooner than later.

Unfortunately the room we were assigned was not the room that we booked. Breakfast could use a bit of improvement. For example, there was salmon and french toast one morning and it appeared that the left overs were put out the next day. Upside, staff was nice.

We travelled as 2 couples and spent 4 nights at Noe’s nest last week. The BnB is an original Victorian townhouse filled with Sheila’s collectables and photos. Sheila is a fun host and she’s only too happy to share recommendations for restaurants and things to see and do while you’re staying. She has made the rear yard an oasis where you can sit and enjoy the evening and often catch up with the other guests to discuss your days adventure. We stayed in the masquerade room which is off the dining room. It is a very small room with the bed pushed up against the wall so it’s not ideal for anyone not able to climb over the bed to hop in. We had an issue with the bed having been broken and the toilet malfunctioning and both issues were addressed quickly by the house keeper. This room has the benefit of an opening window which allowed us to enjoy the evening breeze. The other couple stayed in The View room. This room was far more spacious but be aware that you have to climb 2 staircases to reach it, the second of which is narrow with turns. It feautures a large non-opening window with a spectacular view out towards the bay and city. Being at the top of the house the room was hot and the air conditioner was noisey. There is a window in the roof of the ensuite that can be opened but it doesn’t allow for much of a breeze. Both rooms being at the rear of the property were quiet with no street noise at all. Hot breakfast options changed daily so we enjoyed many delicious choices during our stay. The cook/house keeper is happy to cater for those with food intolerances if you let them know. They were also happy for us to pop in well before breakfast service to grab some fruit and toast before our early check out which was greatly appreciated. We travelled without a car but as others have written the parking around Noe’s nest is limited to 2 hours, even with the restrictions we rarely saw a vacant spot so parking would be difficult.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Wow, what a different place, if you like the eccentric and quirky this is for you. The house itself is like one of SF’s famous painted ladies and is chock full of eccentric artefacts. It’s owner Shiela is a lovely very welcoming and interesting character who goes out of her way to make you feel at home. It’s location is a little out of the usual tourist areas but is only a short Bart or bus trip away, which we quiet enjoyed as you get to see the real SF in all its glory, not the sanitised tourist version. The breakfast was also above and beyond what we were expecting and was very comprehensive. Our only minor gripe was the Stage Room was on the small side, a little noisy from the adjacent road and the tiny bathroom was down the hall, something we weren’t aware of at the time of booking (we were advised after) If you ensure you book one of the more spacious rooms I am sure you will love the experience.

A really quirky different B and B in the Mission area of SF about 15 mins from the Waterfront the Mission area being a largely Hispanic enclave with lots to see and do , being aware of your personal safely at all times . The lady owner has lead a very full and interesting life and there are some great stories and memories here .The room was reasonably priced, very clean and comfortable and the breakfast outstanding . It is only 30 mins from SF International airport too. A great place to stay and meet some local characters and interact with the other guests . Thank you for a memorable stay .

Absolutely lovely. Shelia was amazing. The best breakfast in San Fransisco. The location is in a trendy sort of area. Great food and odd shops. On street parking is restricted but Shelia let me put our bike in her sideway. Fantastic. A perfect place to stay in SF.

Thank you to Sheila, Cindy, Ellen, and Rowena for an outstanding visit! Our children had just moved to SF and we were in town for our first visit. Not wanting to stay downtown in the tourist area, our daughter found Noe’s Nest. A beautiful and quirky home, filled with momentos from travels and knickknacks galore; Noe’s Next found its way into our hearts. Our room was comfortable with a wonderful king sized bed and a private bathroom. The house and it’s contents have an amazing history, and we spent quite a bit of time with Sheila, as she shared her stories with us. Breakfast was a spread with quiche, omeletes, fruit, pancakes, smoked fish, pastries, and coffee. We enjoyed meeting the other guests, and mingled at the breakfast table. The location was ideal for us, and the House has a beautiful and relaxing garden in the back. We will be back in SF every few months to visit our daughter, and Noe’s Next will definitely be our home away from home. We were treated like family, and truly appreciate the kindness and graciousness of the entire staff. The Gilberts Pompano Beach, Florida

Stayed here to visit our kids. Funky Bed and Breakfast with a warm and caring staff. Great location, great breakfast, and very comfortable room with a bathroom. Highly recommend and will return again when in Noe Valley. Thank you Sheila, et al for everything!

Such an amazing experience, amazing room! Amazing breakfast and stay overall. The owner is awesome and she even recommended us cool places to visit. Best stay in San Francisco. Don’t think it twice totally recommended
