Flawless experience all around - very well managed hotel makes up for the terrible seedy location.
This property was so sketchy. Bad vibe from the minute i got in there. Their key maker was not working so they were gonna send me and my daughters up to the room without keys and let us in. I immediately felt unsafe and requested to cancel room and be refunded. This put me out greatly as it was late and i had a hard time finding a place to stay. Terrible experience
Great atmosphere, excellent customer service and great location
Beautiful and unique property. Love the artwork and decor, very friendly staff!
Nicely decorated. Had a sexy vibe. The staff was very helpful. The tenderloin though is a tough neighborhood to be in and would never stay in that area again unless I had to.
Excellent service from the friendly staff. Beautifully decorated hotel and rooms, delicious food and super comfortable beds.
The SF Proper is a cute boutique hotel. The rooms were tight, but the beds were quite comfortable and the mini-bar was well stocked with high quality items. My only issue would be the lighting. The hotel in general was a bit dark inside (especially the elevator and hallways). Lighting for the room seemed quite harsh when turned on and didn't have adequate coverage. Location was quite good, despite one street having a bit of homelessness activity. Room service was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
Found SF Proper through a package deal on Orbitz and was very surprised to stay at such a new and hip hotel. SF Proper opened only 2 months ago as he first hotel in the Mid Market (Tenderloin) neighborhood. The hotel was decorated by LA decorator Kelly Wearstler and every detail shows her signature from the stunning light fixtures to the patterns of the waiters aprons. The rooms are small but well-appointed. The rooftop bar, Charmaines, is the most beautiful indoor/outdoor bar I've been to, with a line around the block each night (although hotel guests go right up). Most important, the hotel staff was terrific - friendly, helpful and readily available. Highly recommend!
Really great location. Really nice staff. Close to everything
