This is a great boutique vibe hotel. The restaurant is very good. The room was spacious and well appointed. It was clean and convenient. The only drawback was very low water pressure in shower,

Very friendly and helpful staff. Located a block away from Union Square, right next to the cable car.

Functional and easy. Connected to great restaurant.

Great and helpful staff. Enjoyed delicious food and attention at the bar/restaurant as well.

We stayed here last week and had a wonderful time. The rooms are very clean even though they are relatively small. The size is fairly standard for a downtown of a major city unless you want to pay lots of money. The staff was terrific, especially Kimberly at the front. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable about the city and had several suggestions about the best way to get to various destinations including seeing fireworks. She was even able to direct us to the best way to use the cable car, bus, and transit systems. The only complaint I would have is if you are interested in the included breakfast, you're in for a bit of a disappointment. They generally have coffee available first thing in the morning in the lobby, (they are not consistent in putting it out though and you may have to remind them), the continental breakfast is an on-demand service. This means you have to go to the front desk and find someone and they will make you a basket with a few items. I don't know about you but that which can be put in a basket is not the type of breakfast we were interested in. I totally recommend one of the many restaurants within walking distance as a much better alternative. But you should know this if you are counting on the breakfast to supplement your meals. This is not the hotel for that. There is also no on-site fitness center, however there is a fairly large gym straight across the street that you could use.

Hotel was great! Loved the location, it was convenient for hanging out around union square. Prices reasonable and they also gave us a goodie bag at check-in that had a bottle of wine, water bottles and snacks! Will definitely stay there again

The hotel staff was extremely helpful, the hotel is very swanky with nice rooms. The hotel is very close to shopping and other sights. Would definitely recommend this hotel if looking in the Union Square area.

The hotel was great! The staff are very helpful and kind. The room was so clean and comfortable. I even got a complimentary bottle of wine when I checked in. Great location near union square. only complaint, the guy working at night was kind of a jerk but really, the most pleasant hotel experience ive had in years! would definitely go back.

Seeing the hotel photos in Orbitz and Expedia, I decided to book this hotel for a 3-day stay for a conference in San Francisco. However, after staying at the hotel, my wife and I weren't happy with our stay. Here are my reasons. First of all, the location of the hotel is great. There are also some extra dinner credit and grab-and-go breakfasts provided by the hotel which is really nice. However, the room was really tiny and dark. It also smelled damp. There were two windows but both of them opened to a very small alley, and there was another big wall in 1m distance. Therefore, it's better to say there was no window. I also had two more bad experiences there: the water was interrupted one night from 12 to 4, and another night, a false fire alarm at 2:45 am, woke up me and my wife as well as all of the other guests of the hotel. We asked the staff to change our room, but they said no room with the street view is available. To sum up, we weren't happy with our stay at all and that was because the room we stayed in was so different from the images we saw from the hotel beforehand in Orbitz and Expedia.

Air conditioner couldn't keep the room cool enough, but everything else was perfect.

This hotel was amazing. The staff, room and location were great. Our room was very very clean. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Nice lobby with fireplace for gathering. Hotel well maintained. Comfortable rooms.

I had the queen deluxe room. Pretty small but cheap for the location. Older building that was updated, could be why my shower didn't work.

I spent two nights at Hotel Abri, in two different rooms, and I experienced two totally different hotels. Night one, I arrived after a late flight and quickly retired to my room. The room was tidy, small, oddly shaped, and somewhat shabby. The only window overlooked the air shaft. It had a tiny desk in the corner and a bathroom the size of a postage stamp. Though I reserved a queen bed the room only had a double, and I spent the night with my toes peeking out of the end of the bed. The next morning, I went downstairs and asked if it was possible to get a room with a larger bed. The woman at the front desk informed me that the room I was in was supposedly a queen, but I assured her it was not. She then told me I could switch rooms. The second room was luxurious and spacious, with a view of the city lights, an ample bathroom, and a desk. It was seriously like being in a different hotel. The bed was comfortable and cozy and my night was all around wonderful. So this is to say that the experience at the hotel will totally depend on what kind of room you get!

Good location, easy parking, but small room and noisy

The hotel staff went above the norm to take care of my wife and I. They gave us information about the areas of San Francisco that we were interested in seeing and how to get there. Everything that we asked for they gave us. The room was comfortable and had old charm. We will stay at "Hotel Abri" again when we return to San Francisco!!!

Nothing is cheap in San Francisco but this place was worth the price. Right downtown so everything is accesible by cab or BART or even just walking, though I wouldn't recommend walking through the Tenderloin at night. Staff were helpful and nice and our room was a good size.

The place is expensive... even for SF. It is priced like a 5 star and it ain't that. The rooms are small and our room had a smell. I had to spray air freshener. Then the hot water had issues the first night... They got things sorted out... but still ... not worth the price.

Cute hotel--but horrible construction outside led to absolutely no sleep for me and colleague in another room. Hotel Manager apologetic--but need refund!! Really bad and no warning given.

one block from the cable car & two blocks from the Muni

Hello, please accept my sincerest apology if your stay with us was not enjoyable. It is unfortunate that the city was doing some water pipe works during your stay so they had to interrupt our water availability from midnight to 4 a.m. in order to perform the work that needs to be done. This is out of our control which is why we gave all our guests advance noticed about this. I am sorry to hear as well that we were not able to accommodate your request for a room move due to limited availability. Please know that if you decide to give us another try, we can offer you a complimentary upgrade to one of our urban suites based on availability to show you that we want to make it up to you. Please contact the hotel directly so we can make this arrangement for you. Thank you for your feedback. Stay vibrant.
