Charming Gem!

I recently spent several days at the Nob Hill Inn and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. As an interior designer, I’m quite particular when it comes to accommodations, and this charming boutique hotel exceeded my expectations. The historic architecture is beautifully maintained, and the lobby, hallways, and guest rooms are decorated with understated elegance that feels both timeless and welcoming. The bathroom design was especially noteworthy—thoughtfully updated with a touch of luxury. I looked forward to a relaxing soak in the Duravit bathtub each evening, a small indulgence that made the experience feel restorative. What truly made my stay special, however, was the people. The owners and staff were warm, gracious, and genuinely attentive—greeting me each morning and always available to assist with anything I needed. Their hospitality gave the Inn a personal, home-like atmosphere that’s rare to find. For anyone seeking a refined yet comfortable stay in San Francisco, the Nob Hill Inn is a gem I would gladly return to.

Shri from the hotel welcomed us with great care. The hotel’s design and rooms are exceptional, warm and inviting, yet reminiscent of a grand 20th-century mansion. The mattress was super comfortable, and the room included a fireplace and was well equipped. Everything was spotless and very well managed. We had a wonderful time staying there and 100% recommend it.

The hotel is nice and the location is good, exactly as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, we experienced several issues that left us dissatisfied: 1. When we arrived, the bathroom was dirty. There was a used towel behind the door, and the ones hanging looked as if they had already been used. 2. The power kept going out in our room (not the whole hotel, just our room). The first time we reported it, the staff reset the breakers and explained it was due to overload. After that, we had to reset them ourselves every day. 3. Housekeeping never cleaned our room, even though we placed the “Make the room, please” sign. We had to go down ourselves to ask for clean towels. 4. On the last two days, there was no hot water—we had to shower with cold water.
