Nice hotel with the quality of the big chains, but charm of a local. Great bed, really friendly staff, and our room was actually really quiet (which is hard to find in this city).

A playhouse within a hotel was very different. I didn't like the water for the shower going back and forth between hot & cold

I really loved the location, right off Union Square. It’s a very old building, but charming I thought. The staff was very helpful and always pleasant. The one thing I didn’t like was the shower was pretty dismal. Other rooms may have had better showers but it was only for a few nights so we endured. I’d stay there again but would ask for a better shower.

Great location. A bit pricey for what you get. Booked early thought I was getting a great price. Unfortunately it went way cheaper the closer our dates came. I booked non refundable next time I think I will book that I can cancel and rebook.

No Air conditioning. Water pressure was terrible.

In the middle of everything. Historic and cute building would stay again.

very quiet room, private. All what I was looking for.

Very old hotel, not well maintained, aging shows quite a bit. For example, windows are so old, you almost feel you are sleeping in the street with all the city noise. Also, given the first room at the corridor at one of the upoer floors. Significant elevator start, stop noise made the room uncomfortable.

Very nice old hotel, nice lobby and nice rooms ( I was in a penthouse). Clean and quiet. A lot of atmosphere in the rooms, hallways, elevator.

Outdated rooms, bathroom from the gilded era. Excellent location and staff.

Friendly staff, good location, and a reasonable rate.
