It is good location small room very expensive for the equipment in the room

A dumpster fire of a place. Loud, run down and not what you think you were getting.

Stayed for three days, front desk attendant was not friendly, room was dated, only received fresh towels one night and never had any maid service. Breakfast is toast and yogurt. Would not stay again.

Price point good. Bathroom size good. Location good. Room size too small. Queen bed was a double. No screens on windows. Paper thing walls. Breakfast in basement with high traffic in single tiny elevator.

This hotel was in a great location which made it a good value for the money. It hits all the main points - a good location 2 blocks from Union Square, comfortable bed and a good shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast is the typical continental affair - minus muffins but the room in the basement is very dark and crowded! The elevation is the very old type with an outside door and an inside gate and often doesn't stop on the floor you have selected! The windows have not been updated and therefore let a lot of sound from the busy street in to the room. Sounds like loud talking, sirens, garbage trucks all become part of your in-room experience. All that said, for the money it suited us fine.

Friendly staff, quick check in, clean room and the best sleep I've ever had!

Great location, clean and very friendly staff. We had great time!!

The guy who checked us in set a very bad tone. He was rude and un-interested . The room and elevator are too small for 2 people w bags. Its noisy outside at night.

Unpretentious, great staff with great suggestions.

Very friendly hotel staff Great location But very noisy at night

The worst hotel i ever been. Very misleading travel site listing, in most country this hotel will be closed! Room are smaller than kitchen closed with cage type design!

We chose this hotel due to its price and proximity to Union Square. We wanted to be central to everything and this hotel was just that. We did run into an issue where someone was in the room that we booked, but the quickness in which the hotel staff responded to ensure that we had a room (we got in very late our first night, and yes, we did let them know ahead of time) was greatly appreciated. We did end up getting a room not too long after. The hotel has its own character. It was definitely built in the early 1900s, so you can't go in expecting built in AC (they offer fans at the front desk) and non-creaky floors...as long as you know that and enjoy old buildings, you will enjoy this hotel. Additional benefit...continental breakfast!

Dingy old hotel with tiny rooms. Door nearly hit bed when opening door. Bed spread was old and dirty. Room window offered a view to a dark air shaft. Hotel elevator door is so antiquated it doesn't open automatically
