Basic motel. Clean spacious room and nothing fancy. Good if you need a place to crash for a night or two. It's conveniently located on motel row near the Golden Gate Bridge (there are numerous motels on this section of Lombard Street). You save on parking fees by staying in these motels (although this one, I hear, is a bit short on parking, and so it's first-come-first-served); we got the last spot available the night we stayed here. There's no breakfast included, but there are many nice places to eat on Chestnut St, very close-by. You can get hot coffee / tea and some fruit juices in the small lobby of the hotel.

The hotel didn't have great reviews so I was a bit doubtful. Nevertheless I must say that I made a great choice! It was a decent price for a huge room!!! King size bed (veeery comfortable), walk-in closet, sofa, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, desk, and more furniture. A whole renovated private bathroom, which seems to be rare in San Francisco! Despite not having AC, we were provided with small yet ppwerful heaters. Plenty of public transportation around, which is quite convenient but makes the around are noisy. Plus some restaurants and shopping around the area. Few minutes from the main attractions. Definitely would stay here again!

So the place smells as soon as you walk to check it smells horrible and when you enter the hotel. Also a lot trash outside the hotel. Shower doesn’t work proper and good luck getting hot water out the only plus is free parking.

Amazing close to the Palace of fine arts... And most attraction and food joints

I love the ambience and the privacy set up but I would appreciate it if the hotel owners do something about the thermostat and add more heater to the room because when I woke up early in the morning, i was freezing.. other than that, I wish to go back..

The only thing is good about this motel is location, nothing else.

Room was ok except for the toilet which was not in a great condition. No Elevator and a lot of stairs. We were lucky to find a parking at around 10pm and it was really hard to take out our luggage from the car because the parking space was really tight. Good location. All in all ok.

We had an horrendous experience at the Alpha Inn and Suites in San Francisco. The guaranteed parking we expected was not available and our room was shabby with broken fixtures. Our reservation from Orbitz said free parking, but at check-in we were unhappy to learn that this hotel's parking spots are limited and only available on a first come first serve basis. The desk clerk shouted at us and blamed Orbitz when we questioned this. Our room was shabby and the bathroom had what looked liked black mold. Also, the fixtures were poorly maintained, including cracked lamp shades, some ceiling fixtures without their glass covers and a large broken slab of granite had fallen off the face of the bathroom vanity and was lying on the bathroom floor. There were also unpainted patches on the wall. We had to stay one night and will say that we found the sheets were clean, the beds were comfortable and the coffee maker and TV worked well. However, the noise from the street was loud.

San francisco's hotels are expensive but this one is not but still good location and good value. Friendly helpful staff , large clean room , wifi is free and it works !! recommend this hotel for travelers on a budget !!

Cheap. Good location. Rooms old. Parking is hit or miss.

5 minute bus ride from Golden Gate Bridge. Located across from bus stop and 24 hr Walgreens. Located at busy intersection so can be noisy at night. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff was nice. Room was clean. Quality of linings and towels was decent.

nice quiet place and clean with close by places to visit

Our stay was okay, but we were slightly disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. Cleanliness aside, the hotel is nicely located and much more affordable than others in the area.

good quiet stay and comfortable. bath soap could be better
