My trip to San Francisco, was dedicated to my daughters birthday. My friend recommended this hotel as she stayed there with her daughter back in May. Overall this hotel is nice, located by union which is also very convenient. Our room was small with tiny shower ( I'm a skinny woman and I couldn't even wash my hair or turn around) That part I didn't like at all.

The room smelled like the carpet had been wet and damp for days. Other than that, the room was nice and clean. There was complimentary wine every night from 5-6 but the front desk receptionist did not mention it, we didn't find out until 7 pm on our last day therefore were unable to take advantage of the deal.

Hotel is very close to the cable car and china town. Plenty of food and drinking places near by. One down side was no hot water just barely warm. Mention to hotel staff and they had other complaints and appeared it was a new problem. They appeared to make note of it and would get it resolved.

Small room. Small shower.. Poor cable channels . Older building , needs updating. Good location

What a pleasant surprise to have found this hotel by accident via Orbitz. Everything about it was great. Clean. Quiet. Nice staff. Convenient to everything. Wonderful room. Suggestions? Only that maybe they include some snacks in the lobby for guests. They have wine tasting every day which is nice if you like wine. But if you don't... Other than that, this place was perfect. Plus the rooms are air conditioned!

Very nice staff great hotel nice staff good location

Beautiful room, spacious, and very nice staff. I would come back.

My overall experience was good. The room was clean, a little small but the staff was friendly. The elevators took forever and the internet kept cutting out. I was told to call tech support but their line was busy the whole time so that was frustrating. Other than that decent hotel

two complaints, one is not really the hotel's fault but should be noted, every day at 6:00 am there is a delivery or taking out the trash in those big steel dumpsters, rolling down the street. I was on the 6th floor and I could hear it like it was just outside my room. If you are a light sleeper, don't stay here. The other thing is the wifi, it just sucks. It kept dropping and losing my connection.

hotel was nice not far from union square bit noisy as some air comes in near the air con unit .. only one lift so can wait long times sometimes.ok hotel had better experiences in the past ..not sure i ll be back breakfast was a joke had more choice at motels ... can understand they had to find a last minute solution due to the restaurant next door not doing breakfast.anymore . But a coffe a juice and a muffin or toast that's all that was included in the voucher to use in cafe across the street that was a joke.. to get a real brealfast had to pay for anything else..so paid twice for my breakfast .. again had.more choices at hotel way lower quality than this supposed to be 3 star. that's why i gave s 3 star to my review

This was a very nice hotel. Great price and nice location. Walking distance to Union Square shops. Lots of local eateries nearby. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly and responsive. Fitness room was a bonus. We enjoyed the nightly wine hour. Would definitely stay there again.

Wine reception is popular, staff is friendly. Many international guests. Rooms are generally a reasonable size.

We enjoyed our stay there. The housekeeping staff was amazing! We had fresh sheets on our beds every day. Facility was a bit older, and we could hear water running in the other rooms, due to older plumbing. Wasn't a big deal, as the staff and cleanliness made up for it. We loved the location of the hotel, as it was in walking distance to Union Square, shops, and restaurants.

It was a pleasant stay. Love the hotel, staff and how it's close to everything.

Overall my stay was fine. Room was small and bathroom felt like it was converted from a closet to a bathroom. The bed was nice enough and the pillows were comfy. My view looked into two other rooms so I kept the blinds closed at all times. If you aren't planning to spend much time in the room then it's fine.

We spend less then 24 hours on this hotel and anytime we have a question the answer was there for us. Very attentive and welcoming stuff with the right information of how to make the best of your stay in San Francisco.

Close to union square and China town . Walkable to shopping and night life .

I was traveling on business and this hotel was one of the more affordable options within walking distance of meetings. For the location, the price was very good, the room was small but comfortable, clean, relatively quiet, and the internet was good. They are not serving breakfast at this time (but seem to be reconstructing a restaurant), but I enjoyed (and prefer in any case) trying out different options nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is small, but comfortable (and has a welcoming fireplace). I had looked all around the same area for a less expensive option and the only ones seemed to have bed bug problems or be quite a step down... so I am glad to have spent the extra money to book this hotel.

Front desk staff is rude and unfriendly. Concierge staff is very professional and attentive though. The location is soso which required quite a bit of walking to the nearest BART station.

I booked 4 rooms here for a business trip and the hotel was not as bad as I thought it would be. Staff was friendly, complementary wine happy hour and lobby was nice. Rooms were ok, beds were comfortable. My biggest complaint would be the dust build up on all of surfaces in the rooms. It looked as if house cleaning never wiped those down ever. We also had a plumbing issue in one room, but they were able to fix it immediately so I won't complain. Advice to hotel - dust the rooms!!!

Thank you Natalie for your recent review and stay. With our older building our rooms are snug in the baths but clean and modernized. We have rooms as well with showers over a tub so if you are ever to return ask for a tub room. Hope you visit to San Francisco was enjoyable too. Sincerely, Bill Engelhardt General Manager

Thanks Andy for the feedback on your recent stay. First we apologize on the hot water issue. Our hotel hosts a geo thermal steam system (green energy too) that 99.9% solid with on a couple days over 10+ years of limited hot water issue. Unfortunately a leak occurred and the pressure released the steam from heating the water. Hot water was fixed by Monday to regulate heat, but Sundays morning water was warm at best. Again our apologies. I do hope you enjoyed your visit however to San Francisco and please visit us again! Sincerely, Bill Engelhardt General Manager
