Cheap hotel with no AC, needed to open windows to breathe

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and perfect location.

Small room (note, no air conditioning, but ceiling fan and windows open), but well-kept and surprisingly well-appointed; everything necessary for an effective business or personal stay (I was there for business). Continental breakfast certainly adequate (fruit, cereal, coffee, pastries). Staff helpful- really a good option for not over-spending but still being close to Union Square, cable car line, Moscone Center, etc. Would recommend- and, bed was comfortable, always important!

This hotel has an excellent location: lots of shops and restaurants all within several blocks. The staff we met were all helpful and pleasant and we would definitely go back.

Tiny room but in a great spot, clean and works well as just a spot to sleep. Shower is very small... Be warned that free breakfast means coffee, cereal, muffins and toast.

The gentleman at the front desk was fabulous. He was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed, including restaurant suggestions. The room was very small, but that was to be expected for San Francisco. It's a perfect spot if you plan to only use your room for sleeping and a quick shower. It was clean and comfortable enough. For the price point, I was pleased. The breakfast was very basic, i.e. orange slices, toast, cereal and coffee, but a nice bite before heading out to one of San Francisco's fabulous restaurants. Overall, great stay! I would definitely stay here again for a short visit.

Awesome hotel and for the price and location and the staff

The location was great to where we needed to be. However, the room had no AC. (-_-) The good thing was that the weather was cold so I was comfortable inside. The staff were also nice. However, I would not be going back.

Very good location. In the same street for taking the cable car. Not good wifi signal in my room but acceptable.

This hotel has an absolutely fabulous location, right on Union Square. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is well decorated. We were allowed to leave our bags at the front desk after check out, explore SF all day, then come pick them up before heading home. However the room was small, which is typical for SF. Overall, this was a great place to stay and you can't beat the price!

Simple, clean rooms provided great comfort after a busy day. Location and ease of access was wonderful. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but sufficient to get you going in the morning. Staff were friendly and courteous. Would definately go back.

Free Breakfast, Union Square, Clean, Cheap....What more do you want.

I stayed there two nights to attend a conference. I found this hotel because of its low price. The hotel is adequately comfortable and clean - the price and the location make it a good deal.

The location was perfect. Hop off the BART after your flight and walk two blocks you're in your room. Plus it's right on the cable car line and near a majority of transit hubs. The value was great. Some more fruit options at breakfast would have been nice. But the staff is super friendly.

Shopping, dining, cable car, Bart train, subway are within minutes walk from the hotel. Our Queen size bed room is small but okay as we just need a safe and convenient place to stay.

Room was too small and water running from the shower was so little. :( and there was no Ac.

This was a moderately priced hotel (for S F), and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was larger than at the high priced hotel we stayed at! We were only there one night, and left in the wee hours, so could not avail ourselves of the complementary breakfast, which also was NOT available at the other hotel. The only caveats are the VERY slow elevator, and the lack of a bellboy to help with the luggage. I had to struggle with the trolley myself, in and out of the slow elevator.

I stayed one night in this hotel in Standard Queen size room. This place is very safe and close to cable cars and street cars. Room is little bit smaller than I expect, but it is sufficient for two persons. If you are willing to take Big bus tours or Sightseeing tours, this place is much better. I would recommend this hotel for you.

This was a great location for the Nike Women's Marathon. The hotel was just steps away from the start line. The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The elevator is extremely slow. The room was extremely small. The room seemed to heat up without anyone in it though it was a cold day. The window view was of the next building over only about 2 feet away. But it served its purpose with a bed and a small bathroom as I ran the half marathon there.
