Centrally located hotel, staff very friendly and respectful.

The Queen Anne Hotel was a fun and eclectic place to stay in a really versatile and safe part of SF. We parked our car on the public street parking with no problem. The building was unique and very old with lots of character.

It's a historic property with interesting stories about it's past. It's full of antiques, but very functional and well maintained. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was very quiet at night, and we were able to walk to a restaurant for dinner.

Wonderful accommodations and very helpful staff. We had a room with a fireplace which is a must, and the room for the five days we were there was clean and tidy. The sherry and cookies was a nice touch, and when we left the holiday ornaments were going up. Such a lovely place.

The hotel staff was excellent, knowledgeable and competent. Rooms were kept clean on a daily basis.

The hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian property that definitely puts you into what you imagine San Francisco to be. The attention to restoring the fine details of the hotel is amazing. The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a five was that my room was a little tired looking and the pillows were not comfortable.

This kind of hotel appeals to a certain type of person, and I should have realized before booking it that it wasn't for me. It's a lovely old hotel

Gracious, thick with atmosphere, genteel, utterly unique.

Everything was amazing. We came back up to our room and the bed unmade for us (after leaving it made) ready for us to jump and and go to sleep after a long day. There’s rumors that there are ghosts but honestly she really nice.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Overall nice experience.

Nice change from the major hotels brands. Located in a pretty nice area and a short walk to the Square.

This was our second time staying here and the staff was super friendly!

Nice hotel for the price. Especially if you like the history.

This is a great family hotel. Breakfast in the morning, cookies in afternoon. The rooms are very large and drawers are roomy. 2.5 blocks from Japantown which has tons to explore with kids and great food choices.

A very beautiful and luxury hotel. Feels like you are inside a castle. Staff was very friendly. Evening Coffee, Tea, and Cookies were very tasty. Breakfasts were amazing. Clean and comfortable rooms. All amenities were top quality. Very relaxing atmosphere in the lobby lounge. Would come back here again when we come to SF.

I cannot express how happy I am to have stayed here. From the second I walked in for check-in, every interaction with staff was beyond amazing. It was a dream and I can’t wait to go back. The decor is great. Lobby is wonderful, full with tea and coffee all day. Staff is THE BEST! And the neighborhood is safe and lovely at all hours. This definitely has the B&B feel that’s extremely comfortable.

We can't help but think ratings should be based solely on the merits of the hotel. Thank you for staying with us. Though you found the Queen Anne to be "a lovely old hotel", we're sorry our style was not a match for you. Victorian architecture is large part of San Francisco history. Thousands of Victorians were destroyed in the 1906 Earthquake and Fire. Yet the Queen Anne (built in 1890) survived.
