At check in, was first told my room was not yet available at approximately 6:30 pm. Shortly later was told there was only a smoking room available and I specifically always ask for a non-smoking due to a sensitivity to cigarette smoke. The only option, after speaking with the manager, was for me to pay an additional $150.00 to upgrade my room for a one night stay. I asked for other options and was told this is the only option unless I accepted the room in the smoking section. The other two rooms in the same booking, in which one was stayed in by the sister of my wife and the other was the room for the parents of my wife, were also smoke filled and they had no other option but to take the rooms. So, after already paying the booking price through ORBITZ, I also had to spend an extra $150.00 plus resort fees of $45.15 plus the refundable $50.00 security deposit. If I had known the trouble I would experience I would have booked at The Luxor again since that was a nice experience from start to finish.
