We stayed here on our last visit so we booked again as it was nice last time for a reasonable price. This year the room had a bad smell, mold on ceiling, cracks from water damage, thick coats of dust, and the furniture was damaged. We called and asked for a different room as soon as we got there, but they told us no we would have to do it from 12 to 2 the next day. We had atv plans during that time but they did not care and told us we would have to stay where we were. I was not going to cancel tours that were already paid for. I would ha e thought since we had just checked in that they should have just moved us then... We called as soon as we walked in room.
We just needed to get away for a few days and get in the sun! We really enjoyed our stay! I used the fitness center every morning, it was nice, and clean!
It was a nice hotel with a decent pool. I didn't like how shaded it was. I had to keep moving chairs to get sun.
Overall hotel is good, close to the strip and entertainment...but, if you are looking for something else, rather than casino (for instance pool) that is not the place to go. I was very disappointed, in order to get in to the Flamingo pool you don't need to be a guest, everybody can get it. So, I'm paying resort fee ($32 and change) and everyone else can use it. No spot was avaliable, even the concrete near the pool was occupied..sucks
Room was dirty at check-in wasn't very happy with that but the manger fixed it after it was brought to his attention
$34.01 a day resort fee and I never even went to the pool, hot tub or used any amenities. I just needed a bed and a shower. Then on top of that $8 dollars a day to park my car. I was under the impression that was included in the resort fee but told upon checking out that it was a recently added cost. Charging a guest to park in a parking garage on top of the resort fee is ridiculous. I asked the front desk rep to try and get this waived since it was a new policy and I was a Players Club member (signed up when I got there). Was told "no" because I was a new member without enough points. Great customer service. :-(
We spent 5 days at the Flamingo. Our first impression was the hotel was average. We get to our room a day later than what we were supposed to due to flight delays and they still charge us the daily resort fee despite us not having anything to do with the delay nor using any of their "ameneties." we check in to our room and the toilet doesn't flush properly. they come up to fix multiple times and was told " that's just how it flushes" (we had multiple others staying at the flamingo within our group and they all worked fine.) At one point, the engineer came to the room to snake the drain, grabbed a towel off of our rack, wiped the tool dry after sticking it in the toilet, and three the towel on the floor of our bathroom rather than taking it with him at that point. Gross! After the toilet was not fixed once again, my husband requested a room change, and that seemed as though it was an obsurd request. My sister was getting married and they had nothing but problems with their room as well... moved rooms 3 different times and basically had to be in close contact with the head hotel manager to get anything done at all. They need to work on their customer service and use their resort fee and then some to update their property.
Generally, the hotel was all right, but seemed overpriced and customer service does not seem to be a priority. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though the bathrooms need updating. I enjoyed the spa and the best massage of my life from Erlinda. Housekeeping staff also exceeded expectations. The pool was not great. I was most disappointed with the quality of the wifi and the unanticipated, undisclosed fees for wifi use. They could also use more staff at the front desk. Good location.
Great 4 days. Went to Grand Canyon, saw a show, and enjoyed the Strip.
Loved the place coming today, reserved a room under my wife's Name, Mezsgan Noori
Rooms are neat and clean. Beds are very confortable. Great location.
The Flamingo Hotel is old and worn, and it shows. Service and amenities are just fine, great restaurants, shops and pools, but... When arriving, we opted for the $75 upgrade to a suite, as our room was not ready for early arrival. Ended up having to wait close to an hour for the suite as well.... Suite had nice colors and all, but it was so worn. Everything looked like the hip designer did not check up on their work after a while. - Old carpets - Cover for the sliding bathroom door mechanism missing - Broken soap plate - Broken iron - Ironing board cover 'broken' - Very loose shower door handle - 3 bulbs/lamps not working - Found used q-tip in toilet - Out of place fridge from Home Depot it seems - TV in bathroom mirror did not work. Remote nicely placed, but nothing worked. - All bulbs in ceiling were possibly one cool edison bulbs, but replaced with energy saving bulbs. Now every bulb has different color due to no one checking the color temperature. - Extremely dirty windows. - 2x surround systems from before 2010... Why? - VERY soft beds. Great for some, bad for some. Everything could easily be fixed with a little paint and some maintenance. Seems to me that the place has given up.
If you like being treated poorly by Front Desk and Guest Service staff, this the hotel for you. I had issues at check-in, and regarding noise outside my room, and Flsmongo Staff just seemed generally unwilling and uninterested in helping me. It felt like they were inconvenienced by having to help customers. The exception was the housekeeping staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, efficient, accommodating.
The room was very spaceous and bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpfull with any questions we had. Our room had a nice view of the mountain with snow caps! We also loved the view as we ate our breakfast watching the pink beautiful flamingos.
Clean hotel friendly stuff close to everything.nice gambleling place
Orbitz should not recommend this facility. Since you do you should clear up all problems.
We stayed here 2 nights to be able to walk to shows and dinner. Ice machines were all empty due to "Spring Break" facilities were nice. The large pool was overrun with college kids, we spent time at the family pool which could have been larger and closed at 5pm
Our room thermometer wasn't working. Had to call maintenance to fix it. Beautiful view of Las Vegas.
Stayed Wednesday-Saturday. Booked FAB Room-High Roller View. Room was nice, beds were comfortable but bathroom needs updating. Stayed on 14th floor it was fairly quiet. Didn't come to gamble, just sightsee with older kids. Pool area is nice but a small area if you are under 21. Grounds area is very nice and clean.
The Flamingo is just an OK hotel to stay at. On the plus side, the location is great in that it is in the middle of the strip and close to overhead walkways, so it is easy to walk anywhere you would want to go. It is also next to the Linq Promenade, which has some of the more affordable restaurants on the strip, which is good if you aren't into the whole celebrity chef airport kiosk style restaurant next to the slots kind of thing. Now for the room. Booked a king room, but got a double queen - whatever. The rooms are below average, bordering on budget motel quality. Furniture is a bit beat up and has seen better days. The bathroom is in severe need of an update, featuring dingy tiles, old fixtures, and faucets that drip. The major issue is noise - don't expect quiet if your room is near the Linq Promenade. All of the bars pipe out loud music, and you might be treated to bad karaoke until 2 AM on some nights. That said, while you don't go to Vegas to hang out in your room, when you do finally end up there, you expect a little better. Overall - average at best. If you do go, check out the wildlife habitat.
