South Point Hotel, Casino, and Spa

Overall rating would be higher if it was not for the $21 a day resort fee which is much too high for what you get and what you will actually use. The resort fees is just a round about way to get more money out of guests for services the guests don't use or need. But we pay it so until we stop going to hotels that charge high resort fees its going to continue and it will keep going up.

My friend and I went to Vegas to see Fluffy - Comedian on stage at the Mirage. We preferred to stay at South Point because it was reasonably priced, nice looking hotel, kind people working there, a movie theatre inside the hotel, a nice gym at the hotel, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, good food and fun atmosphere. HONESTLY .... the only thing we had a problem with was the alarm clock - it kept BUZZING and we would shut it off. Then it would go again a short while later. Don't know why. We were in Room 386. Also, We really appreciated the extra hour we were given for "late check out at 1:00". The staff was kind enough to give us that time. THANK YOU because my trip up there was NOT such a wonderful drive as I got a FLAT TIRE in the middle of the desert between Barstow & Baker (Temp:94) & there was no where I could go to get a tire at 5pm on Friday night 9/15/17. UGH! I had to be towed in to Baker on a flatbed, was taken to Del Taco parking lot to wait for the 2nd tow truck by AAA Auto Club to arrive and hook me up on the truck again to take me into Vegas ... about another 113 or so miles to the local Las Vegas BMW dealership. It was a stressful drive. So thank you for making my stay wonderful. I had fun and so did my best friend. The movie we saw was Home Again. Great movie! Only thing we would have liked to see was a mini frig in the room. That's our only complaint : - ) thank you again. Mary Lee

Great off strip location Away from all the craziness of strip

Excellent room and experience. Room was very comfortable and nice. Close to strip. Was able to experience good food within resort as well as plenty of gaming options! Really good Ice cream bar!

Lots of entertainment in the hotel. Good choices for food and buffet was good. Parking is free and convenient

Great place off-strip to take a family who doesn't drink or gamble. Enjoyed the equine activities and horse arena. Plenty of restaurants, bowling lanes, movie theater, pool and spa to keep everyone entertained. Cab to / from the strip was convenient.

We only stayed at this location one night. But if we had more time it is a great place to stay. We would go back any time for a great all around experience.

Very satisfied with amenities and services for a reasonable price. Will stay here again

In the middle of the night we had a man trying to kick our door in on our room. I was in fear for my family's life and after calling hotel security. This man stopped kicking at our door. My son and I where at door the whole time holding the door to prevent him from getting in. I did open the door to see where this man took off to so I could tell security. This man was just to the side of the door where the peep hole couldn't see him. As I open the door this man took a swing at me and I deflected it and swung back knocking this man across the hallway. My son who is 21 years old seen this man starting to get up struck him again and knocked him to the ground and at this point security came and gathered him up and told us to go to our room. They didn't seem to concerned about the fear they put into our family. There was me my son and his family, wife 20 and son 1 and his wife's sister 14, the 2 lady's and the baby where hiding in the bathroom. We all thought that we might die and at one point that we might get shot. The door was being kicked for about 5 min. long.So it was not a good experience for us. The front desk as we where checking out had no idea of what happen to us and we did fill out a report at this time. After filling out this report we where told that they would turn it over to management what ever that means.

Clean and comfortable room. Front desk cleark was very helpful and accommodating. The only downside is the hotel is off the strip but everything else is excellent!

The only bad thing was the blood on the sheets. Not cool. Which we called in and they did change out the sheets promptly.

As I was reserving the room online, it stated that 2 beds for for 4 adult people andditional spaces for 3 children,. However, that was not true when we got there. We had to pay for additional room for seven of us instead.

This hotel is a really nice alternative to the congestion and craziness of the strip and downtown area. The rooms are well equipped and clean with premium bedding and they're very spacious. The restaurants have great food at reasonable prices. We ate at the Silverado Steakhouse and Primarily Prime Rib. The meals and service were excellent. The Garden Buffet is not my favorite, however I am not partial to buffets in the first place. I would reccomend Sourh Point to those who enjoy a little gaming and great food without the traffic, noise, and wild atmosphere of the strip and downtown.

Everything was fine. Food was good, all employees were friendly.

Always a great stay. The rooms need more amenities i.e. couch, refrigerator and better views.

Great hotel stay only was there for one night. Seafood bar is awesome

I had an awesome experience, and I found the hotel to be in excellent shape, however, due to my own ignorance of other hotels in Las Vegas, I wanted to be fair and give it a four, since I am not familiar enough with five star occomidations.

The hotel is big and impersonal. The staff were cold and impersonal and not accomodating

Very convenient parking and entrance Nice hotel Clean Close to airport or

This stay very good. excellent service cleaners and they responded when my kids can I get in the room so it was great you have a good staff.
