I took my wife to South Point for her birthday. We have stayed here many times and always had a great experience…….. except this time. On the second night of our 3 day stay i took her to the prime rib restaurant for a nice dinner. We shared a meal because of the amount of food they serve. Everything was great until about 4 hours later, my wife started to get sick, within 2 hours i was also sick. We both had food poisoning. I know it was the dinner because we didnt eat anywhere else that day, we just snacked anticipating a big dinner. The next morning my wife called the front desk to request new towels, at that time she informed them of what was occurring ( we were both still very sick ), the desk wanted to send security to do an investigation! Neither of us were in any condition to deal with that. We both were literally in bed for 36 hours. The next morning we were starting to feel better, we went to the desk to check out, at that point they had security come over and preform their investigation, it was literally a questioning and they asked us to write a statement detailing the incident. They told us they were going to give the report to their risk management and that if we wanted to know any results that we would have to call after 5 days! We did as they asked and when we talked to the risk management lady we were told they could not do anything for us because we had booked through a 3rd party ( Expedia ). All they did was refund us $66 ( resort fees ).
