Oasis at Gold Spike

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Stayed for 1/nt. Free parking, no resort fees. Downtown party atmosphere. DJ's thumping music until 3 am on weeknights. Airplugs provided. Be warned.

Room clean and comfortable. Liked free parking and ease to get to our room. No coffee maker in room. Unfortunately walls not sound proof enough. Visitors above us partied all night and heard crying kids in another room.

Decent 3 star hotel. They do need to come up with a better way to get into your room. Now you need to stand in line with everyone else going into the bar. Then wait while bouncer goes though the list to make sure you are staying there. Nice pool and redone rooms.

Friendly and courteous staff. Overall great experience.

This hotel is a scam. The rooms are dirty and dusty. We paid for a deluxe room at Oasis hotel, but instead got less than an average room at Gold Spike, which was a music club. When we requested the room that we've paid for, we heard that there were no rooms available.

Great room for $40, good location. Clean and fairly comfortable. Around the corner from the Fremont Experience.

Nice rooms and Gold Spikes music not an issue in the rooms.

Not a good place for business travel. Good if you're a student looking for a party in Vegas. A giant outdoor adult playground which is pleasing to look at, until the sun goes down and it turns into a dorm party for 18-21 year olds. Live music Thurs-Sun until 1 am at The Gold Spike. Which is different than the Oasis at Gold Spike. (We tried both). There is a pool party on the Oasis side where the DJ plays the same beat continuously for 6 hours. They have limited blankets, so you might just get sheets. Advertised a 24 hour cafe-- there isn't one. Also the girls at reception will eventually help you, but they won't be happy about it. Not thrilled, but you get what you pay for. Would not stay there again.

We were there for 10 days. The very next day after we checked in the elevator broke and was not fixed until days later. We were on the fifth floor and where on vegas to take some dance workshops, so going up and down the flight of stairs to get ro our room was not the bussines. The room we were in was clean but definitely needed some repairing to do in the bathroom. Room service often missed days of cleaning which meant we had a lot of trash accumulated in the trash can. Some good things: fun environment and entertaining activities, loved the sunday pool parties. For those who decide to stay there I would recommend staying at the rooms located at oasis NOT at gold spike, they looked way nicer and a lot more spacious.

The room we booked was part of a deal and thus thoroughly inexpensive, so complaints may come prefaced with us getting what we pay for. Nevertheless, while the room itself was not uncomfortable, and the hotel was located right in downtown Las Vegas, it is situated above a nightclub with pounding music playing day and night. The hotel provides earplugs in recognition of this, but these are not sufficient to block out the heavy bass music that went til 4am. Besides this, the staff were generally slow and uncommunicative at every encounter - checking in/out and phoning the front desk took twice as long as necessary, thanks to monosyllabic and unfriendly employees. Lastly, the wifi is terrible, just terrible. Something pretty inexcusable in modern hotels these days.

Very private. Was doing renovations on casino but all was good.

We only stayed 2 nights. Even though we arrived at 11, they let check in early and even gave us an upgrade for no charge. The hotel was very nice looking, clean, and pet-friendly. The toilet paper roll was coming off the wall, and the air conditioner stopped working, but they fixed it right away. We would stay there again!

Spent a week here for my birthday and absolutely Loved it. Our room was clean and nice. Perfect for 2 people. Right next to pool. The pool which was never full of people. Super chill and relaxing. The connected backyard bar is amazing hangout. The bartenders are all friendly. The food from the restaurant there is so delicious. Great prizes and amazing choices. Will definitely book here again!

Experience was great. Stayed here for one night (a weekday) . No noise on a tuesday, because it's not a weekend. They do provide ear plugs if it does get noisy due to hotel being near club.

I booked this room way last minute. Nothing else was available so... Didn't know what to expect when I checked into the tiny little office that wasn't connected to the building. Room and bathroom was small but cozy and cute. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Bar downstairs is nice. But hate how hard it can be to get back to your room at night when security is high. Will stay again tho and next time check out the adult playground! Oh and the pool is so cute and clean!

Food in the Oasis Diner was delicious! Room was fairly nice, but the couch wasn't very comfy (actually had a slightly broken piece on the couch). Hotel Staff was overall good, but not as "hospitable" as I would've liked (although, I am from Atlanta, in the south where we're all about Southern Hospitality). Pool area was nice. Location was decent.

In town for Motley Brews Beer Festival in Downtown Vegas and had an AMAZING time at this hotel (got a discounted rate thru the Beer Fest). It's laid back, casual and fun...I felt so comfortable. Yes...The music was loud but not so loud that it made me crazy. It was fine! (they offer complimentary ear plugs if you need). The rooms were charming (just like in the pictures)and I loved the "Living Room"/Lobby area. No in-room phone or alarm clock - Yeah!! It rained the whole weekend I was there but, I didn't mind. I sat at the bar and had fun. I'll be back again to try out the pool and all the fun outdoor games!! The Staff was some of the best around! I arrived at 5:30am and was greeted warmly by the gentleman at the front desk (forgot his name - SO nice). I LOVED Angelina (some patrons called her "Angie") who worked in the café for breakfast! Delicious!! Hats off to Julian at the bar! He made the best Old Fashioned for me! Chris in Operations was great too! Loved his knowledge of whiskey and bourbons! I will be back very soon! My new spot for downtown!!! Thank you Oasis at Gold Spike!!!!!

I was disappointed as soon as we walked in and the room was nothing like the photo on site. It was tiny and the walls were dark blue and black which made the room feel like a cave. There was one office desk lamp that made it impossible to get dressed in the room and the bathroom was too small for my both my daughter to use the mirror and sink to get ready. The worst part was it was dirty, I could literally write my name on the curved leather headboard. The tub was slightly dirty and there was a dirty towel in the dresses (btw there was almost no room between the bed and dresser to walk let alone open the drawers). I was asked to wait until the morning to have the room recleaned. So I did trying to be a good sport and not make a fuss, this was my daughters 21st birthday so I figured we wouldn't be in the room much anyways. So I went back and rinsed out the inside of the tub (the outside was still dirty. The next morning I had to remind the staff and they sent the maid. She came in with a white magic easer sponge and was super defensive telling me to look that the inside of tub was cleaned and tried telling her I already rinsed out the inside but she cut me off so we never got the outside cleaned. So I showed her the thick dust on the headboard she said that was just how those rooms were and there was nothing she could do if she cleaned it the dust would be back I 5 mins. I showed her the dirty towel in the dresser and she admitted she missed it and left. The constant swiping through every door and to use the elevator was annoying. The parking is tiny at the hotel but they do have an extra across the street and the only saving grace was the bed was comfortable and the back yard area had many games to entertain you all night. PS I was also only supposed to be charged 40.00 for my resort fees but for some reason I have a strange 94.80 charge which I am about to address after this review.

Rooms was very European - sparse - needed dusting. Needed more lamps. Noisy due to pool and bar with loud music. Air conditioner was efficient but noisy. On the plus side - that drowned out the noise of the other tenants.
