just was not happy I have to tell the front desk few times about charges appear on valet parking, i never had a car, i was not sure why it kept on appearing on my account.
Checked in at MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas and upgraded our room to Tower Spa Suite. We put our bags in the hotel room which was ver dark due to poor lighting and left for the day. When we returned the room was so dirty, the floors were covered in stains, the bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom toilet was covered in urine. Room appeared to have had water damage and the mold smell was terrible. We called the front desk and they moved us too a smaller room two floors down. Upon entering the room, we had the same problem, room was not cleaned, carpet was worse, stained and not vacumed, and again another dirty bathroom. We then called down again and they wanted to move us to another room, at that point we spoke with the Manager and he agreed both rooms were unsatisfactory and we decided to go to another Hotel at this point. We checked into Planet Hollywood, and everything was perfect! I have never written a review in my life but felt that this needed to be shared, very disappointed in MGM and I hope no one has to experience what we saw. They are a big company, time to spend some money and update your rooms and make sure they are actually being cleaned.
William (front desk) checked us in and got us the best room available at the time, and the next day upgraded us to a higher floor with great views. And - adjoining rooms with our kids. William is friendly, knowledgeable, and very willing to listen to our requests. We stopped by to thank him for our wonderful stay!
Great time. Meals expensive. Shouldn't have to pay for parking
we had a great stay at the MGM for my hubby and friends birthday, wish we seen some show and got a car, Next time we will do a little more sight seeing.
Great hotel but towards the end of the strip but that's not really a problem.
Shower had hair and trash in it. Was obviously not cleaned .
Room in cemented basement area, unsecured and a dangerous hallway. Way too much cigarette smoke in entire facility. Second time I have taken a hotel through Orbitz that the room is inferior to how it is described. The other time was at the Mark Hopkins in San Francisco. They both rent inferior rooms to Orbitz customers.
They allowed us to check in hours early, the West Wing could use some upgrades but its still nice. The tv in the bathroom mirror didnt work and that was disappointing. The staff was kind and the Bentley limo is nice!!!
I enjoyed the hotel , it was very clean, with a lot of things to. I didn't like the food though
Everything was perfect, can't wait to come back again
Lot's of walking to get from car to hotel. Added lots of extra hotel fees and taxes . Nice hotel but liked Mandalay better. No extra fees and free parking.
Well maintained clean rooms and good service. A little off the strip ... But its ok to walk down ...
THE LOBBY AND THE RESTAURANTS ARE EXTREMELY NICE AND CLEAN. THE ROOMS ARE VERY DATED AND MY FRATERNITY HOUSE COUCH WAS NICER. I UPGRADED MY ROOM TO THE TOWER AND WAS HIGLY DISSAPOINTED WITH HOW CHEAP LOOKING IT WAS, BUT THEN I REALIZED YOU DONT SLEEP IN VEGAS ANYWAY
this hotel has everything if you are going for a boxing show or love sports this place is exactly for that!!!!
Overall our experience was a decent one, but our room had no coffee maker and no fridge. They did have fridges to rent for $25 a day but then no microwave either. There weren't a lot of outlets to plug chargers in so we had to take turn charging our items. House keeping came really early and unless you had your do not disturb on the door they would be around to clean between 8am and 9am. Everytime someone's door closed your own rattles making you think that someone is trying to get in your room and when your neighbor is opening or closing their drapes it sounds like someone is clawing at your window. Our bathroom was a great size but there were rust stains all over and some sort of black gunk stained across the mirror. Housekeeping kept rearranging my toiletries and spreading them across the counter leaving no room for my friends items. I think for the price paid it was a decent stay but compared to other offers for the same location I probably would have stayed some where else especially if I had know ahead of time about no fridges or coffee maker
Great price; nice room; super friendly staff. We booked this trip in a short amount of time and was amazed by the deal that we got and how great our stay was! We're definitely coming back to the MGM; and we recommend anyone else to stay here as well!
I am usually in town for work at the Convention Center and like the MGM because it is easy to take the tram and it has everything I need easily located. Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly.
This hotel is located on Las Vegas Strip, where all the action takes place. It is not a "theme park" hotel such as Caesar's Palace or Paris, but it is still a great place mostly because of location. A piece of advice: You want to stay in the newer remodel section, not the West Wing. Initially we booked a King room in the West Wing but when we entered the room everything looked very worn out, paint, walls, furniture, carpet, bathroom, etc. Things like shower doors and handles had signs of poor quality repairs. We did not feel happy starting our Vegas vacation in that room so we paid a $20 per night upgrade to a King room in the newer section and it was absolutely worth it. Restaurants in the hotel close early (10:00 pm) but there is no shortage of places to go nearby. Also beware of misleading offers: 2 Buffets per stay is not the same than 2 Buffets per day. We had a discussion at checkout because we stayed 5 nights and had 6 buffets but they said our package only included 2 Buffets (2 Buffets per stay) worth $80 in total. They charged the additional buffets to the room, but at the end after speaking with the manager for 15 minutes they removed the charges, mostly because they did not clarify that information at check in when we asked about the buffets. Overall we had a good time at the MGM,
The housekeeping was terrible. We found an e-cigarette sitting on a piece of artwork in the room and potatoes chips on the ground near the beds... none of which were ours. Very disappointing :(
