Sunset Station Hotel & Casino

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I find this to be one of the friendliest hotel/casinos in Vegas. And to boot, the recent remodel that it’s undergone is outstanding. Located in Henderson, it’s easy (and free) to park, easy to shop for anything—and a lot less chaotic than the Strip. Highly recommended for business travel or simply pleasure.

That poor building. It's old, outdated and worst of all smells. Rooms are just cubicles with a bed in it, and the bed was terrible. Staff was great. Lovely and likeable people just making a living. I'm sorry I will never be able to go back, but I won't ever step foot in the building again. Best of luck.

You get what you pay for. I work in Las Vegas once in a while, and when I stay in the Henderson area I pretty much stay at the Sunset Station. This trip was much of the same, with exception of my reservation was incorrect . I reserved a King bed Non smoking and was pushed in to a 2 queen bed room that the previous occupant smoked in. The hotel staff fixed the non smoking issue but I was still sleeping on a queen bed.

the rooms do not have a coffee maker, frig or microwave and the shower reminds me of my military days. The shower nozzle was terrible. The hallways smelled like stale Old Spice. Not staying there again.

Good location for my travel needs; close to local restaurants & shopping.

I've stayed many times at Sunset Station and this stay was the worse. The people in the room next to us were very noisy and had the TV on all night 8pm-8am and continued to have loud conversations through out the night, it felt like they were in the same room as me. Also had problems with the internet and was told but tech support my internet was not turned on in my room. Pool was closed due to weather.

It was a very comfortable stay at Sunset Station. Close to the freeway and restaurants.

Great hotel in Henderson with a great pool area. Check in and out was quick but the guy checking me in and out was not very customer oriented, did not smile or ask how my stay was just handed me my receipt and that was it. Good restaurants and value for money.

The registration staff are nice and friendly! I had an issue about cigarette smoke smell in the nonsmoking room on the 7th floor. The hallway was smelly. The room looked clean. I like the separate entrance to the hotel area away from the casino. Parking was very convenient.

The hotel is nice but was really hoping for a fridge in the room, an updated hair dryer and a blower in the shower/toilet room. I also found finding the garage parking quite difficult and far from the front desk. Other than that the staff were all friendly and the beds were comfortable oh and I really like how the bathrooms are updated in the casino level floor.

Checked in and that was the last help or communication I had with any staff. Can't for life of me figure out why you assess guest an additional $22.79/day resort fee. The fitness room was smaller than a guestroom and had very little equipment. There were six people in there when I was in there, and it was crowded. Never saw the pool, but for what I could tell, it was an additional charge to access the pool.

Never had a problem with Sunset station. I've stayed there multiple times in the past five years. Currently, I am staying there often on for the next four months. I stay around 20 days a month. Never had a problem with them. I love this hotel! They are hotel fee is a little high, but the hotel itself is very nice.

This was a great hotel for the price. Rooms were clean and nice. My only complaint was no mini fridge in the room.

The room was not very clean. The vents in the shower were really dirty, dirt hanging from them. The bed sheets we had to have changed before we even used it. one day our room wasn't cleaned at all. The "deposit" you put down isn't a deposit its to cover amenity (which is a fee to use their pool, phone and internet which they advertise as free) fees that your contract stats are in the cost of the room. They tell you that you will get it back and you don't so when he front desk tells you when you check in that you get it back, its a lie!!

Long walk to to restaurants , cafe from room. In room coffee obtain suggestions.

I was overcharged and I'm having a hard time getting a resolution ! I've been placed on hold indefinitely twice !

Wasn't expecting much when I got there, but this hotel hwas exceptional and had a wonderful and welcoming staff.

Never book again through Orbits. It was a nightmare after original flight date was cancelled due to weather!

Orbitz got us into a fully packed hotel on a 'last minute notice' . We were traveling, with a tight time schedule and needed a room for the night . When we arrived, the hotel was overflowing with athletes for a local competition, and rooms were nonexistent across the town . The hotel was so happy to be dealing with Orbitz, that they gave us a 'suite' for the price of a regular room, at no extra charge . We always book with Orbitz, because their customers always receive the very best service and accommodations, and we know that for a fact .

Spacious and friendly. No in room coffee maker or ref. It seems almost everything is oriented to encourage gambling in the casino. Huge 72 lane bowling facility attached. Very nice buffet meals.
