Sunset Station Hotel & Casino

The hotel is nice but was really hoping for a fridge in the room, an updated hair dryer and a blower in the shower/toilet room. I also found finding the garage parking quite difficult and far from the front desk. Other than that the staff were all friendly and the beds were comfortable oh and I really like how the bathrooms are updated in the casino level floor.

Checked in and that was the last help or communication I had with any staff. Can't for life of me figure out why you assess guest an additional $22.79/day resort fee. The fitness room was smaller than a guestroom and had very little equipment. There were six people in there when I was in there, and it was crowded. Never saw the pool, but for what I could tell, it was an additional charge to access the pool.

Never had a problem with Sunset station. I've stayed there multiple times in the past five years. Currently, I am staying there often on for the next four months. I stay around 20 days a month. Never had a problem with them. I love this hotel! They are hotel fee is a little high, but the hotel itself is very nice.

This was a great hotel for the price. Rooms were clean and nice. My only complaint was no mini fridge in the room.

The room was not very clean. The vents in the shower were really dirty, dirt hanging from them. The bed sheets we had to have changed before we even used it. one day our room wasn't cleaned at all. The "deposit" you put down isn't a deposit its to cover amenity (which is a fee to use their pool, phone and internet which they advertise as free) fees that your contract stats are in the cost of the room. They tell you that you will get it back and you don't so when he front desk tells you when you check in that you get it back, its a lie!!

Long walk to to restaurants , cafe from room. In room coffee obtain suggestions.

I was overcharged and I'm having a hard time getting a resolution ! I've been placed on hold indefinitely twice !

Wasn't expecting much when I got there, but this hotel hwas exceptional and had a wonderful and welcoming staff.

Never book again through Orbits. It was a nightmare after original flight date was cancelled due to weather!

Orbitz got us into a fully packed hotel on a 'last minute notice' . We were traveling, with a tight time schedule and needed a room for the night . When we arrived, the hotel was overflowing with athletes for a local competition, and rooms were nonexistent across the town . The hotel was so happy to be dealing with Orbitz, that they gave us a 'suite' for the price of a regular room, at no extra charge . We always book with Orbitz, because their customers always receive the very best service and accommodations, and we know that for a fact .

Spacious and friendly. No in room coffee maker or ref. It seems almost everything is oriented to encourage gambling in the casino. Huge 72 lane bowling facility attached. Very nice buffet meals.

I stayed here one night. The room was great and every staff memeber I encountered was super friendly. I know the next time I need a hotel in Vegas, I'll choose this one.

Room was in good condition and clean. I was not given the room type I was supposed to get but after going all the way to the hotel tower it was not that big of a deal and not worth walking all the way back to the lobby and waiting in line again. The staff in the hotel and throughout the resort were very nice. I was concerned that the noise from airplanes passing overhead would be an issue but it was not. Know that there is an amenity fee (or resort fee) - this was more than a 1/3 of the total price of the stay. I had called the hotel prior to arrival and the fee they told me about was $5 less than what I was actually charged. Overall I was happy with the stay but hate paying the resort fee.

Great experience and a definitely a place we'll return!

We have stayed here before because it's close to grandson. We checked in on 10/22/16 for a non smoking room. We went to the room and opened door and was knocked over by the smell of old smoke. We called front desk and got a new room right away. The new room was much better. We stayed last year and we noticed that all the rooms and hallways were redone since last year so I don't know if this was a former smoking room.

The Hotel is spacious, the room was large. Presence of security was very nice, made you feel very secure. Besides a wonderful casino, lots of restaurants, a small gift shop with some needed amenities, a movie theater, a bowling alley and an arcade for the kid in all of us. Was only planning on spending two nights but wound up staying three because of some car issues, but had a great time!

On this last stay the pillows were hard as rocks! My wife & I both hated them, no flexibility, how they stuffed that much pillow into a pillow case is beyond me. We pulled against each other until we removed the case from the pillow making it possible to sleep. This is a great hotel otherwise!!

There was not a hot tub at the pool, the pool was also not opened 3 out of the 4 days we were there. I called the front desk to complain, and I was told all the pools at hotels were closed this time of year. It was October 4th, and it was 87 degrees out. Come on. We traveled to many other hotels during our stay where the pools were opened. There was also no coffee maker or refrigerator in our room. The security makes you take out your key before getting on the elevator even though you'll need it for the room anyways...it was weird. I was here with my small children and I was very uncomfortable in this hotel. I tried to check out early to change to anyplace else, and at that point a manager was able to tell us to go to the green valley station pool. We did and it was really nice. They let us in for free there (to the pool) for three days since Sunset station's pool was closed. I would highly recommend checking out the green valley station hotel to stay. The pool area was great and it looked really nice. We mostly hung out there and not at the Sunset.

Positives: - Very friendly staff will do what they can including staff at the front desk and all staff in the restaurants and shops. I did not go to the bowling alley or cinema. - Rooms were clean, decent size, and maid service was very good. - Great location Negatives: - Not warned that the hotel was under renovation and 12th floor was being redone. We were on 15th floor and heard the noises all day. Front desk staff politely offered to move us to a new room when I complained, but I confirmed that folks staying on the 6th floor and 4th floor also heard the noise all day, so moving was not the answer. In particular, I was not happy to hear noises starting at 8:15 each morning when I'm on vacation. - Don't mind paying a resort service fee, if promised services are provided, but the services seemed to disappear once we got to Monday. It was like staying at a different hotel Monday through Wednesday as services seemed to end during the week (e.g., promised free newspapers that were left by elevators were plentiful during weekend all day, but I never saw any on weekdays, even when I checked the front desk twice in the morning and was told "we ran out"). or get cut back (e.g., the hours for almost all the stores and restaurants were limited - closed several hours earlier than during the weekend). Had I known, I would have checked out on Sunday like everyone else seemed to do. - Paying resort fee & find no coffee makers or refrigerators in room-not right
