The Orleans Hotel & Casino

The old room air conditioner, seemed to run all the time and was so loud, we eventually turned it off. It was better to be uncomfortable, than listen to it roar all night. The bed was so hard and the pillows were so flat, it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. It was like sleeping on a plane? We didn't realize until the last morning, that the wet spot on the bathroom floor, was coming from the base of the toilet. The casino temperature was so cold, I finally came down a cold on the 3d of 4 days. You would think, that a casino, located this far off the strip, would have something great, to bring in the people. The hotel event planner, is doing a great job, of keeping the hotel busy. We live in California and go to Vegas 4 to 6 times a year. This is the first and last time, I will ever go to this hotel. Our reunion was great and went well, despite of the hotel. If we attend another event at this hotel, we will stay at another hotel, and travel to the event.

Check in was not good. We were given a room with a view of a cement wall. Had to wait an hour for another room which was fine. We've been staying at this hotel since it was built. Noticeable decline and wear although the cafe was remodeled. We stay here because it's familiar, off the busy strip but easy to get to strip with free shuttle. Employees at Advantage rental car are super nice as are the servers in Friday's.

The check in was very fast, all staff members were friendly and helpful. Loved their pool area.

For the price, this was a home run, we'd stay there again. The room was clean, they seemed to have decent restaurants , good sized casino, and the bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean.

Check-in process ran smoothly. Lobby is smoky and extremely loud! Room was nice; layout was comfortable. I enjoyed having a large sliding door separate the room from the restroom area! Didn't like the closet in the bathroom area, however. Food selection in the restaurants were awesome; from burgers to steaks! A wide variety of options. Not as many vegetarian options though. Biggest disappointment was the location - it was isolating and removed from all activities. Felt stuck in the building, couldn't really walk anywhere, although cabs were readily available. The Casino was average, not too many newer machines, and the smoke was unbearable at times! Seems as if there is no ventilation at all in the Casino area. Otherwise, I'd consider coming back. I love the theme of being in New Orleans!

we got upgraded to a better room and it was in great shape

Nice room and nice poker room with great looking waitress's.

We wete only staying one night because we had an early flight out of Vegas. Needed something that had dining selections without having to drive. We ate Cajun food at Big Al's Oyster Bar near the casino area. Rates good and off the Las Vegas Strip so not too crowded. We were able to visit with our granddaughter in the comfort of our room. Fit our needs well.

Had a wonderful stay. Love the restaurants and movie theater in the hotel. Wonderfully convenient. Great variety of slot machines.

Very nice hotel in las vegas, close to the strip and very comfortable. Rooms are big and spacious. I really recommend this hotel, good relation between price and comfort.

Either Orbitz books the whole thing or not. Extra charges after the arrival are an unpleasant surprise. I had not used Orbitz for awhile so did not know or realize this may be how it works. SO the price you show on your site is not the price you pay...there are up charges for checking in early, and resort charges...not going to do this again. Show me the whole picture or I will not be returning.

Tiny room's...getting very old Will not stay here again

Usually hate staying in casinos due to cig. Smoke but this hotel was OK...the room had no trace of smoke smell. Room & bed was comfortable & quiet. We chose this location in order to be close to the arena--very convenient! Free parking and a shuttle to the strip made this location ideal.

Booked room in advance, selected non-smoking rooms. When we checked in only smoking rooms available. Neither me nor my father smoke. The hall way smelled of cigarettes, the rooms smelled of cigarettes, but not as bad as the hall way. we were there for 3 nights and when I got home all of my clothes smelled like cigarettes. They did offer to move us after the first night, but with our schedule we were out early and back late and moving rooms is a pain.

Overall the hotel was better than I thought. It's not a good place to stay if you are sensitive to smoke. Tv system did not work during my stay but I was compensated for high speed internet purchase.

Paid for it and spent an hour every time trying to get on every day. Complained to managers but no help just got sent to IT people for fix. Only lasted hours and started all over getting connected (4 days of this). VERY FRUSTRATING! Great poker room and rest of facilities good

The location is near the airport but west of I-15 and the strip but it gives great access to both. We loved the free shuttle service to two other casinos, one of which was located near the center of the strip. Thus, we could get to the strip without driving and searching for parking. Checking in & out was easy and painless. Lots of food choices at reasonable prices found throughout the establishment.

The room was very big and nicely done. Easy parking. Noise of people talking in hall came into the room quite loudly.

My spouse & I are both handicapped. Although the "handicapped" room was very nice & spacious, it was too far from the check-in counter. Plus, there were not enough staff to accommodate people checking in/out. It would be nice if they had a line dedicated for handicapped guests.

Very nice hotel with good amenities. Loved the free shuttle to the strip and the $10 per day food allowance was great, paid for our breakfast most days at one of the food court places and got us on our way quickly. The Market Buffet was very nice and had a great variety of cuisines as well as fresh salad bar and fruits. The line can be long at dinner time, but moves very quickly. They were also very accommodating when I broke a rib and was having difficulty maneuvering, even offering to help me get my plate. As was the hotel front desk, recommending a nearby walk-in clinic and helping us extend our stay an extra night, including printing our boarding passes for free. If your are looking for the hubbub of the strip jump on the shuttle and it is a quick trip, but you can come back and sleep in a quiet room.
