This is my 4th time staying here over the past 3 months. I absolutely love the property as I’m a huge fan of Art Deco architecture and design. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very clean. Beds and linens are some of the best I’ve come across for the price. It will be my go to hotel for years to come when traveling between Missouri and Colorado

The employee at check-in was more worried about screaming over us to other customers to put on their masks. The room could have been cleaner, especially since they had notices on the mirror that "extra steps" were taken to clean certain areas. P.S. was the best part of our stay and I think I would reserve a table there again, but probably not stay in the Hotel.

We liked the ambiance of this hotel. However, there was no parking available and we had to drive around for 15-20 minutes each night to find an open meter. There were plenty of parking garages but those cost at least $18-$25/night. Also, our room needed some TLC. The shower/Tub didn't drain properly and some lights didn't work. During COVID-19, everything should be working since there isn't much bookings, every room should be working properly. I hope they take the time to go room by room and ensure that all lightening, plumbing, and mechanical issues are resolved before tourism picks up again.

We booked two rooms just to get away for the weekend. We understand that during this pandemic that all amenities in the hotel would not be available, and maybe even some of the services. Even with all of that, I expected the rooms to be clean upon check-in. There were streaks on the mirrors and shower doors, horrible dust build up on everything, the Keurig was filthy, there was trash and used plastic gloves left in the hallway. When we asked if the hotel had housekeeping we were told "no". When discussing the issues with the front desk lady, she didn't act surprised at all and gave the excuse that the rooms had been vacant since the beginning of March. The room looked like it hadn't had an occupant in at least 6 months if not more judging by the layer of dust and dirt build up in the room. And even so, the room should have been clean with a light layer of dust if it had sat for only 2 months. My advice is to have at least a few housekeepers to keep the rooms up after the guests are using them. The only good point of this visit is that we got no argument when we decided to leave early and got all of our money back for both rooms. Also, holding $100 for incidentals that the hotel isn't offering because of the pandemic is a little much.

Comfortable beds... showers water pressure low. Elevators are really small

Hotel was nice, historic, comfortable beds. The shower was difficult to figure out and water pressure wasn’t best and there was no fridge or microwave. For $200+ a night I would expect those type of things regardless on location.

Had a slight hiccup with room cleaning. Other than that it was great.

Beautiful older hotel with updates however there were some hiccups. First we chose to get valet parking which we loved they offered this perk! But my husband went out to go for a walk around the block and noticed our car in front of the hotel where the valet accidentally pulled our car around for another hotel guest. Also our room had dust on the furniture and even on our coffee cup lids provided in the room. There was also hair on the bathtub and the toilet in our room. For the price of staying here I would have thought more attention to detail would be a priority. The check in/out was perfect and staff is very friendly. Very close location to the Sprint Center and allowed us to walk there for a concert we attended. All in all not sure if we’d stay there again as it was just “ok” overall.

character; window in the bathroom/corner room/view

After not having a room ready once, came back at appointed time and still no room. They upgraded and gave me 2 free drinks. Pays to be patient and forgiving!! Nice place old historic hotel.

The rooms were clean and stocked, it was quiet, we were on the street side but couldn't hear any traffic. We waited quite a while for check-in as their was only one employee working at the time, but he was fabulous and gave us recommendations for things to do in the city! We’ll be back!

Fantastic place, would def recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Kansas City

Only one washcloth. Pillows and bed were u comfortable. Otherwise very nice hotel
