We really did enjoy our time here at this hotel. It gives a bit of an old school/ old money, classy vibe. The lobby is gorgeous and the valet service is great, however it does cost $42 a day and they don’t have a garage of their own for you to self park in. There’s a public garage - but we were told there are break ins so keep that in mind. Unfortunately for us, our room did smell like someone had smoked in it and it kept the smell throughout our entire stay. The building is old and you could tell they tried to make it nice, the amenities were decent. Theres no fridge or microwave so we had to get a cooler to put our left overs on ice. The shower was wonderful… great pressure and good water. The bed was very comfortable.
The speakeasy was very lovely; and the drinks/ entertainment were wonderful. We are not city people but wanted to give it a chance and we honestly loved it. Hotel Phillips is in a great location, and it’s convenient to a lot of food, grocery stores, entertainment and easy to get on and off the freeway to go any direction.
We would stay here again if we came back!
