This hotel is very nice. The area is close to zoo and other attractions as well. Staff was pleasant and premises clean.

Everyone here is extremely pleasant!! Thank you for accommodating me at short notice.

It's a nice enough hotel. The staff were not overly friendly, but efficient. There was no working ice machine in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, but no one wore a mask as they went through the buffet line.

I would have not chosen this hotel if I would’ve known it was dog friendly. I like dogs but when a dog is left alone in a hotel and barks all day it’s disruptive to guest

We got into town a little earlier then expected, went to check in and was told the room was ready to go. Was then told it would be $40 to check in early. Manager on duty said we could sit with our bags in the business center for 2 hours if we didn’t want to pay the $40. Did I mention the room was sitting empty and ready for check in. Property was old, front desk manager was rude. Won’t stay here again.

Breakfast was extensive and was included in the room rate. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming each morning.

The breakfast was a good value.

Check in was a nightmare. Long line after being told I could only check in early for an additional $39. The pool area was filthy. The shower in the room was fair but both water handles fell off while attempting to adjust the water temperature. Elevators were out of order. The housekeeper who was on our floor when we arrived was very cordial and efficient. The breakfast buffet was the only highlight

The staff is excellent and helpful the hotel is clean breakfast was excellent everything about it was a great experience my wife and I would go back again

nice

I thought it was a great deal. We got an affordable suite, and it was great. Enjoyed the pool and the easy walk to several local businesses.

Enjoyed classic lobby and room cleanliness.

High tech shower

Staff was exceptional. It is an older property and lacking in some amenities. Regardless it was a very satisfactory stay and I will definitely stay there again.

By far, this was the nicest hotel in the price range that I have ever stayed in. We paid an Orbitz discounted price, a phenomenal value for this hotel, but even if I had paid twice that I would have considered this a fair value. The rooms were impeccably clean, the setup of the room, the GIANT bathroom, literally everything - was excellent. You get an entire buffet for breakfast - included! They serve you a few things you can order (free) and then the entire buffet is open to you as well. As a celiac, I was able to get FULL and that was awesome. The server knew what brands the foods were and how they were prepared so I was able to eat safely. I do recommend taking cash to the breakfast to tip the breakfast staff - they deserve it (there is a box to do so near the buffet line). The front desk attendants were so kind and helpful. Everyone I saw working was smiling and that is so rare these days. Parking is in a ramp, so check in first and then they direct you to the ramp to park. It did cost $6 to park but keep in mind this is a mid-city hotel and you can walk to numerous places. I can't say enough good things about the Clayton Plaza Hotel. :-) One final thought - when we come into a room that is clean, we try to leave a $5-15 tip for the housekeeping (just on the desk with a note that says something like "thank you for working a hard job in a tough economy, grab a treat on us and have a great day). Please remember that great experiences are often due to others hard work.

Liked the ambiance of the hotel and the newer renovations as well as the modernization of the amnities like the digital shower. Disliked the bad attitude of the young lady at the front desk when I first arrived Wednesday evening.

Great stay here at the plaza! The breakfast was phenomenal and clean rooms!

Breakfast buffet was really good.
