The employees are great and work in a good mood.....

Everything went as planned. Affordability; cleanliness; and location.

The physical design helped me feel very much at ease and at home. I could choose to be myself or with people as I liked. I felt free, respected, and valued and like I could ask questions or for help with anything if I needed it

Great value. Friendly check-in clerk, and not too long a wait when getting in after midnight. (Should've remembered to bring a headlamp for finding my bunk and locker, though, since that's after lights out.)

For the price, it was a terrific deal for being able to stay downtown Boston. Clean and comfortable bed, reasonably quiet considering there were 5 other women in the room. I appreciated that the shared bathrooms were one person per bathroom instead of multiple showers and toilets in one room.

I enjoyed my stay at Hi Boston. It was my first dorm room bunk bed kind of experience after graduating from college and it was very refreshing. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The location was excellent, in the heart of downtown Boston with many restaurants located within walking distance. I enjoyed free cookies and sharing room with other international travelers. After this experience traditional hotels seems boring. If you are travelling without family then I highly recommend this place. It is an unique experience which I am sure you will enjoy.

Lots of international flavor, free continental breakfast (bad coffee), and reasonable prices. The best part is the helpful staff and the location in the middle of the city!

Just fine for the price you pay in Boston. That's it.

I had stayed two nights and it was quite expensive for a hostel. The person I stayed with in my room had woke me up in the middle of the night because I was snoring. I never ever stayed in a hostel where someone woke me up like that. I told the front desk the next morning to move me to another room. After I was woke up I stayed awake the whole night and had terrible sleep. They gave me a huge run around and told me that they couldn’t promise a bottom bunk bed for me so I just stayed in the same room. The next night I was hardly snoring and the girl above me kept kicking the bunk bed every time I snored. People need to realize this is a hostel! People snore. Bring earplugs next time and request a room change! I’ll never stay at this place again!

Great location within walking distance to lots!! The room had everything we needed. Nice to have 2 chairs and a desk to set stuff.

Excellent location. Walk from station, common, theaters. Very comfy bed. Check in early to get bottom bunk

While there I was exhausted and wet from getting myself lost as I had never been to Boston and was in a downpour. But after getting there they were so wonderful to help me get accommodated and it was just an amazing place. :)

This was my first experience in a Hostel. It would have been better if I had anticipated that I would be staying in a hostel. In any event once I adjusted, it turned out to be almost fun. The facilities were fine although I thought the dishwasher was a bit rude. The overall closeness with strangers took a bit of getting used to but if you are into Hostels, this one was nice. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this to a friend is because my friends prefer hotels.

Great pub crawl, great space. Great people, great experience.

This is a clean, pleasant, and basic but stylish place to stay in Boston. Not fancy or roomy, but more than enough for a few nights. It's a little like a college dorm, and although we were older than the typical guests (we had a separate room with private bathroom), we felt very much accepted and at home. The location (Back Bay, right by Tufts Medical Center) was ideal, and we enjoyed the communal kitchen and lounge areas, and the staff were outstanding. We would gladly stay here (or another HI hostel) again!

Thanks for staying at HI Boston! When the building was retrofitted to become a hostel, we decided that single person bathrooms outside of the dorm rooms would be the way to go. I'm glad to hear we made the right decision! :-)
