Quiet area of Cancun, new and classy building. Service is hit and miss, not up to luxury standards. Front desk forced us to pay for an upgraded room with ocean view although we booked ocean view, claiming hotel was fully booked although it was clearly not. In general property seems to focus on up charging guests at any opportunity with ridiculously high mini bar pricing, watered down margaritas at the beach and surprise bills for $10 Evian water at breakfast.

food it’s terrible and service slow. Fish was fishy and we got sick. Tuna had nothing special (not even soy sauce or anything) rad tuna on the plate. Reception don’t answer or helped me when I needed.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The pool area and beach area were the highlights of the trip with stunning views. The only downfall I would say is that the food is not good. However, there is a mall at the very entrance of the condo and hotel area that has great food. Overall, very relaxing and great vacation.

Our room smelled horrible, like sewage. The receptionist came up to confirm and agreed but said he had no other rooms to move us. We have stayed here more than 10 times and it’s diets time we have this issue. I am requesting a full refund please

SLS Cancun is located in the gated area Port of Cancun. There is a lot of construction still going on in the area, but not in the amount that would affect the stay. The hotel is really beautiful and the rooms were nice. We loved the beach and the beach restaurant. They make the best cocktails! The only downside of our stay was that we booked the deluxe suite with one bedroom, but instead got the room that did not have a separate living and sleeping area. The front desk stuff tried to convince us that the room we got was a one bedroom suite with the amenities we booked, even so it was just one big room with no walls in between. It also did not have 2 TV-s, or a tub as per deluxe one bedroom description. For me, it seemed we were given a deluxe room instead of deluxe one bedroom suite. They compensated us with the food credit for the inconvenience since there were no available rooms that would have matched the description what we booked. If it is really like they say that our room (408) was under the same category (deluxe one bedroom suite), then someone should really look into this, as it does not match the description on the website.
