I enjoyed the old school feel of the property. The location was excellent, everything is a short walk in either direction. The room was perfect. Check in was easy. Overall had a great stay. Will definitely return on my next visit to SF

The location of this property is excellent - very close to restaurants and the cable car tracks. It is an old building, but well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, the building was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The two downsides for us were the tight quarters (very small room and extremely tight bathroom) and the paper thin walls. We could hear EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean!

The property is old and showing its age. The rooms have been refurbished, and were very clean. The hallways are narrow and dark. We loved the staff. All were extremely helpful and courteous,

Location was good for getting around the city while visiting. Room was small and decent, which was what I expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

its an older antique hotel but!! most definitely comfy to sleep in

The room did not have air conditioning. I couldn’t even open the windows. The elevator door would not open and I had to force it open to get out. There was no on site parking. It was a half mile away and cost and additional 42.00. None of this was on the web site. We didn’t stay there even though it was 3:00 in the morning. I would like a complete refund. The hotel manager would not refund me and said you had to do it.

Great location. Clean. Friendly available staff. Efforts made to update property but still a little dated. Good value overall.

Very nice hotel centrally located for easy access. Cable car and UBER right out front. Rene (concierge) was great, he helped us on numerous occasions. Coffee and Tea in the morning, computer with printer available for printing boarding passes. A great cafe (Lori's) next door with excellent food. Hotel is in an old building but has been upgraded with big screen TV and AC. There is a desk in the room and a nice chair.

Location had been renovated and hotel was clean. Room was very small. No fridge or microwave. No ice machine. Creepy halls and elevator made noises. Staff was ok. Parking was not convenient. You had to walk down the street and up the mountain. Not really a best western plus

The location is perfect. Clean updated rooms staff was perfect. It could use some new couches in the lobby

Liked the location. Elevator slow with expired operating license.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room could have been cleaner, there was a lot of dust built up along the door frames in our room. However, we enjoyed our stay.

My room was smaler than I expect and with no safe locker. Walls are thin and you can hear every noise from

Great Staff! Very helpful with recommendations in the area.

It's a 100 year old building in SF, so of course the rooms are small and the walls are thin! Bring some ear plugs and a sleep mask, and you'll be good to go. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the price was affordable. Be warned that parking was quite expensive, but also convenient and safe. The staff were great, and it's dog-friendly, which was perfect for us!

The hotel was great and really close to the city center. It was clean and the staff was friendly - a perfect price-quality ratio. The only downside was the noise of the city. I would however, go back because of its great location.

Hi Mary, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We appreciate your kind words regarding the staff, location, and the well maintained building. As a 106 year old boutique hotel we do run into square foot challenges. This especially is evident in our bathrooms. Once again, thank you for your comments.

We are so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us and that we could not meet your expectations. Due to city restrictions, rooms at the front of the building cannot have HVAC units in the window. We also list parking on all websites along with all amenities. We will be happy to work with Orbitz on any warranted refunds.
