Staypineapple at The Alise San Francisco

Everyone from the doorman Ulysses to the hotel bartender Jedd made our stay above average. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is amazing. A few blocks from Union Square and next to tons of shopping and great restaurants. Try Jones! The interior design is amazing from the lobby to the rooms. So much thought and detail was put into this hotel and the guests' comfort. Our only complaint was you could hear the city noise through the window and the walls seemed a bit thin (could hear hallway noise). Other than that, a 5 star stay!

I was recently in town for a work conference and was not able to stay at the assigned conference hotel. As a result, I booked my room at the Alise and I'm glad that I did. The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Alise to others who are staying in San Francisco for business or on vacation.

We arrived later than expected because of flight delays. When we arrived they checked us in quickly and when we went up to our room it was tiny! So tiny in fact that myself and my 7 year old would not have been happy there regardless of how tired we were (and we were exhausted). It was also very noisy (this was around 11pm, so I can only imagine the am noise). I called down and asked if they had anything else available, and the front desk said yes and they put us on the 7th floor, and told us the bell hop would be up to assist us (although I said we didn't need it). Anyhow, after the miscommunication and missing each other twice - we finally made it up to our new room. It was nice, and very nicely decorated - but had we not been "upgraded" we would have not enjoyed our stay at all! I usually stay at Kimpton hotels, and I expected this to have that same feel, but unfortunately it didn't. It wasn't unwelcoming, but it didn't feel like a home away from home after a long day of sight seeing either. All in all it was OK. The staff were pleasant and again the location for us was the best part of being there. Would we stay again? Possibly, but I think for the same price I would opt for one of the many other hotels.

Loved the Staypineapple experience. Will definitely do it again.

4 days stay near Union Square at an affordable rate. We walked everywhere. No need for a car.

I loved my stay at the Alise! The room felt like a bedroom, not a hotel room which I really appreciated. The staff was lovely and the amenities were very unique (3pm cupcakes were a treat!). My only wish was for room service. The plush beds really called for breakfast in bed.

This is the second time I have stayed at a Pineapple Hotel. The first time was in Seattle, and we had such a great experience that we decided to try the SF location. Once again I was very pleased. The location is ideal for shopping, food and tourist attractions. It is located right in the heart of the city and just a 5 min walk to Union Square. The hotel had a ton of character, staff was friendly. Hotel room is very new, clean and had a touch of modern flare. I found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are back in SF. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in San Francisco! Recently renovated, terrific location.

We loved it. Our first trip to San Fran for our anniversary. Staff was accommodating. Loved the cupcakes & coffee! A quick snack after being out all day! Definitely will be back!

We went for our anniversary weekend in San Fran. The hotel was just as expected from the pictures. We stayed on the 6th floor and had a nice view of the city. The keurig in the room was a great touch, comfy beds & pillows, and big fluffy towels! We had coffee and bagels at the Pineapple bistro in the morning, great cappuccinos! The afternoon coffee and pineapple cupcakes were delish! We walked everywhere from union square to china town to fisherman's warf! Very happy with our choice to stay here and would definitely come back.

Would probably have given a five star but the lobby area was a complete construction zone. However it will be great when it is finished. Rooms are very small but very comfortable and remodeled--everything is in excellent condition.

The rooms were very nice and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We came in tired from a long walk and the pineapple water and pineapple cupcakes were a lifesaver. However, the lobby and front were in the middle of heavy construction/renovation which did not feel 4-star just yet.

The hotel was very nice even though it was under construction. The room was by the elevator, but never heard it. My only thing I thought was weird was the bathroom was so large and seemed like a waste of space compared the actually room! Nice hotel overall and beautiful and friendly staff.
