Very nice property close to everything in the San Diego area
Lovely and loved the rooms
This hotel is modern and usually has great service. Unfortunately the "do not disturb" sign has no meaning to the cleaning staff and that can be quite annoying when you are trying to rest after an international flight and they continue to bang on the door or outright open it and walk in. Also you wouldnt expect bed bugs in a Hyatt in Lajolla, but the beds were infested.
Friendly staff allowed for an earlier check-in. Valet staff very helpful as well

I rented two rooms for two nights. First it was not easy to check in. I booked two rooms under a reservation, but the front desk found only one room. They had to call the manager. The manager said that you booked through a third party so we didn’t receive the information. I had to wait for 15 minutes to be checked in. The rooms were not ready so I have to come back. They couldn’t find the second room again so I had to call the manager again. No apologies for the long wait at all. The manager repeated that she didn’t receive the booking details from Orbits. Second, the room conditions were way below the expectations.The bed sheets and the floors were still wet when I checked in so I had to turned on the AC low, so I can get rid of the moisture in the room. The bathroom smells and the door didn’t close all the way. The safe Box for the both rooms didn’t work. Last the restaurant food was not good. The service was very poor. I purchased breakfast buffet. The waiter didn’t explained that I can order other dishes not on the buffet. The buffet had only a few basic items.

Excellent staff at the pool and at the “Starbucks” cafe . Only negative was we totally messed up on our check out date and the manager would not negotiate a rate with us even though the hotel was not full and we had spent a week there. Had to pack up and leave
