Staff was wonderful! Room was very clean with daily housekeeping (which is rarely seen these days). The restaurants were very good too. Totally recommend this nice little Motel.

My family only stayed for one night but we joined the rest of our family who were there and they had struggled the night before with flooding in the rooms. It was accommodating for our two small children, however having to travel to eat out was not a part of our plan and it made it more disappointing and will weigh on our potential visit next time

We've stayed here before as a family. We were disappointed with the new policies on the restaurant being 21 and over. So much business was lost by multiple people in our party. Had you opened that up to others. In addition, one of our six rooms was flooded by the rains that took place. Not only did it cause hardship for my sister's family, it was also terribly inconvenient being that there were no sandbags or blockades to address the water in that area. But in other areas of the first floor you had sand bags. Although the staff, especially the young Hispanic gentleman who helped us move was kind, it was unnecessary and could have been avoided. Big changes would need to happen for our families to return, sadly.

Not the same as it used to be. If I had done this review, he goes back. It would’ve been very different however, I think in their quest to go more upscale to appeal to a certain demographic, it has really lost its identity.

If you love history, and looking for an affordable, family friendly place this place for you. For all adults back in time. It's about a 10 to 15 minutes drive from San Diego International Airport. We rented a car. Warning San Diego has lots of steep and I mean steep hills in some areas. 😱😎 Kings Inn is an area around other hotels. The area was generally safe but I wouldn't walk around at night. There is parking for $15.00 per night. We didn't mind paying extra because they have security and I felt safer parking This was a well maintained motel. The front desk staff were awesome, very friendly and make sure you read the back of the flyer they give you. Our room was super clean, the hotel both inside and outside was super clean and well maintained. There were lots of beautiful holiday decorations, it made the environment warm and cozy. The Waffle Spot is connected to the lobby. Very friendly staff and great food. We had breakfast there every morning, they get busy around 9:00 a.m. Like most restaurants they are a bit pricey but we were on vacation so we get it. Please, please, please check out Old Town just 10 minutes from Kings Inn. The birth place of California and tones of history. The hop on and off tour trolley stops in that area. We drove to all the major beaches, very close and offers a good time. Regarding Los Angeles. A two hour plus drive and the traffic was way too much. I'm sorry to say this, see for yourself but Los Angeles was so gross!!!!!!!! 😱😨💩
