There is one worker at this place that goes ABOVE and BEYOND Jamal Smiles. He talks to everyone and makes sure you are smiling, laughing, and he leaves his own “wisdom” to leave your worries behind and enjoy your time.

The property is nice and clean. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The amenities are really just onsite up-sales available to you on a first come first serve or reservation basis. Pack a flashlight if you plan on being outside your room after dark.

We love staying here every time we come to San Diego it’s so nice and comfy

I like the ambience of the resot and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our vacation was relaxing and fun@

Beautiful property that welcomes you with tropical juice at Check in. Lovely rooms and beaches.

My family and I stayed four nights. Our initial impression was great; we loved the tropical appearance. At check in we asked if it was possible to upgrade rooms. We were not able to get a larger room but our bungalow location was upgraded. We were steps away from the sand and it was awesome to be so close to the water on the bay. At the time of check in a guest attendant said he noticed we had a bike rack (we brought our own beach cruisers) and said if it can be removed then to do so as it would likely get stolen (we thought maybe he meant if we drove our car outside of resort). Once we found our room we unloaded everything from the car including the bikes & rack. We used a bike cable & ulock to secure our bikes to the pole just outside in the patio and behind bushes. First night we went to Gaslamp District for dinner. We came back and bikes were still there. The next day we had grabbed coffee at coffee shop in hotel lobby and sat on the beach enjoying the cool air and breeze. Once we got ready for the day we cruised all around the property and made a few pitstops (Barefoot Bar & main pool). On the property we found one bike rack to lock our bikes. We had asked the gentleman at the bike rental kiosk where we could find additional racks to secure our bikes as we wanted to use the pool. He told us we could leave them by his station or lock them together and pull up off sidewalk. He even mentioned how it was slow season and the security is "really good". So we went ahead and

Anything you need is available on the property. However, for $15 drinks my Bloody Mary and Margarita tasted like tomato juice and lemonade. Not a fan. Disappointing to spend $60 on drinks plus tip to feel bloated and not refreshed

Great Beach access and extremely friendly and helpful staff

The resort is beautiful and so family-friendly. We stayed right on the cove this time and it was amazing to see the sunrise and sunsets. This was our 3rd time back!

The property was lovely! The grounds and the room were a peaceful getaway for our family. We enjoyed all the activities the resort has to offer--tennis, basketball, water activities, corn hole, giant connect four, mini golf etc! The full service spa was fantastic!

Our room was not ready when we arrived at 9:00pm. Then when they got our room ready, it was the wrong room. We upgraded to a Lanai view and they gave us a room on the parking lot. There were no more Lanai rooms available, so they upgraded us, but the only upgrade available smelled strongly of burnt popcorn. The whole experience was disappointing, especially after a long travel day when we just wanted to check in and relax.

The only thing wrong was that they charged $38 more in taxes AND another $38.40 per day for parking at our bungalow (!) for a whopping total of 78.40 extra per day. And they never told us we had a choice to park in guest parking to skip the parking fee.

Views were very nice. variety of pools.staff was great and helpful. for the price I do not think they should charge $35.00 dollars!

Dear guest, Indeed Jamal is a genuine team member who loves sharing his smile and island vibes with our guests. While I’m happy to hear he made a difference on your stay I feel disappointed you didn’t experience a 5-star stay. We hope you give us another chance. Priscila D. Guest Services
