Cozy little rooms. Although the couple in the next room were having very loud adult relations which was interesting for my two children

We happened to get a room that was not set up very good for the sink area (all sink and no counter space and no where to put clothes or toiletries in the bathroom (one hook is all) and the room had a weird smell even after it was cleaned!! We loved the coffee area with the fridge and microwave!!

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. I was staying for a business convention and they seemed to be able to accommodate us all very nicely. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but the restaurant was incredible. I highly recommend the mahi mahi sandwich.

Nice location, clear and friendly staff. I was able to check in early which is always very nice.

Very close to the ocean. Very clean upscale boutique hotel. Walkable, safe.

Excellent and convenient location. Didn't care for the expense of parking daily.

The architecture, room amenities, friendly staff, location are the top features. Room was a little small, but adequate for a solo traveler. The lady who did the neighborhood walking tour was excellent.

Early check in and staff was very helpful. Hotel is convenient for getting around downtown and has a nice bar and restaurant.

Love this history of the hotel. Great location. The nicest staff. Very accommodating. Great part of our trip.

It is a really old hotel that lends a lot of charm. The location is great as well!

Everything was awesome, good job on the lending bike program

Staff was very friendly, room was... shabby. One of the drawers was broken, closets looked like they could fall apart. The "resort fee" was a ... not great surprise and the justification of it covering "Complementary" services like toiletries or internet (which didn't work, mind you) felt like bullshit. Good location but don't think I'll stay again.

The amenties were excellent the rooms were a bit small and the shower didn’t have a door but other than that the experience was good

The stay was excellent except the checking in process on aa Friday afternoon (it sort of ruined the kickstart of our vacation). The lady that helped us to check in was busy chatting with her other coworkers and did not give us her attention. My friend and I felt that we were bothering her. But other than that, this place was great! For the price and location, I would stay here again.

Great hotel that is convenient to the gas lamp and convention center. This is my second stay there, and I would definitely return on future trips to San Diego.

Historic hotel, lobby needs a makeover, but staff is friendly enough. The room w/queen bed quite small and not enough storage space for two people.
