A wonderful small hotel located in the heart of Ocean Beach. Beach Viewing Areas on every floor, and a lovely selection of snacks & drinks in the lobby. Friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

I really loved it. It may not be a hotel for everybody. You are directly across from the beach. You must remember you’re in a surf community.

GREAT Hotel. Balcony awesome. Restaurants nearby are all phenomenal and an easy walk. Stunning view. Occasional seedy surroundings (worried initially over nothing) but we found the party atmosphere on some nights entertaining.
Alot of homeless; dog poop Yes..!! There were dog poop outside this Hotel and just homeless all around this Hotel
Hotel was nice and the room was updated. Bed soft but comfy. Everything was in walking distance and on the quiet side. Which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Could not be a better place right on the ocean. Older, but well kept and very clean. Great service. Will return for sure!

Right in the heart of all things OB. That's the reason I stay here when I'm in town for a few days.
Ocean Beach Hotel was immaculately clean, the beds were very comfortable and it is across the street from the beach. We were upstairs and at the end. Our view was amazing. The only thing to make coffee with was a very dirty Keurig, plastic cups and that's it. If you wanted a cup of tea, not happening. There is a fridge. Single smallest bathroom I've ever seen. The TV was broken, notified the front desk, but they 'forgot' the next day and had to notify them again. They have an outside deck on the 3rd floor with table and chairs. Absolutely lovely place to sit and watch the waves. Ocean beach is the most "humble" place I've found in San Diego. We could hear from the street below the schizophrenic homeless guy calling for the cops at the top of his voice on and off throughout our 3 day stay. A couple of equally humble places to breakfast are a few blocks away if you don't mind walking past the homeless people hanging out on the street. Very clean, very comfortable beds, great view, ZERO ambiance.

Beach side, cross the street and you are on the beach. Nice view of ocean from outdoor balcony chairs.
Very loud and a little sketchy area at night. Staff was good an accommodating.
The people there were kind, attentive, and helpful. It is definitely in a louder area, but the convenience of the location made it worth it.

The fact that the hotel sat right in front of the ocean made the view quite impressive. Everyone was friendly and polite.
