The pool is a nice size and clean. The bathrooms need to be updated, especially the toilets, which are very low

Best Western Islands Plus Hotel on Shelter Island

Upon entering the room there was a very strong musty smell. The A/C was on and i believe the mustyness was a dirty filter or A/C was too old and should be replaced. The refrigerator had ice build up on the door shelf and bottom shelf. The refrigerator was behind a cabinet door which was broken. The carpet was dirty and damp. Will not stay here again. Blue Wave and Grill food was very good and reasonable prices.

We love staying here. This last time I was a little disappointed that our room had no coffee maker. There were also no chairs on our patio. We’ll be back though. Everyone has an off day so we’ll chalk it up to that!

Never staying here again

This filthy mattress was in my room when I checked in. It smelt like mildew and mold. They moved me to a new room, but this place is old. It use to be a gem. They need to renovate. I’m done with Best Western Plus.

What a Gem On Shelter Island!

This hotel is so well-reviewed, and with very good reason! It provides the resort feel of other properties nearby, right on the marina, at a significantly lower cost! I absolutely loved it and will make a point to stay there again!

Loved the resort feel of the hotel. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. The food at the restaurant was top notch! Only issues was the coffee machine in common area wasn’t set up til 7am! There was no coffee maker in the room. However they offered to put one in our room since we like coffee when we wake up early. The other is the toilet kept running. The handle had to be shakes for a while after using it.

Room was nice had our own patio, everything was clean. Property all together was nice they had a coffee machine near our room which was nice. Only little complaint was our room was next to the exit so we can hear the door and other doors slam once people where leaving. We did hear the neighbors above walking around but not enough for to switch rooms. Besides that I would definitely go back and stay on property again
