The location and view are both fantastic. Staff was welcoming and everything is immaculate from the lobby to the hallways. The rooms have your typical layout, but the view from the 30th is memorable.

Excellent location right on waterfront and secluded from nearest epicenter of hotels so less traffic. Had booked king bed room and got two queen beds instead, hotel knocked off $35 resort credit but didn’t even use it so ended up getting lesser rate when I paid more for king bed room. My fault for not using it but a refund of the difference would’ve been more convenient for me. There was trash from previous guests in trash bin which was gross. First time and wasn’t impressed. Front desk agent lacked warm greeting and personality.

The parking was $40.00 a day and no one told me until you leave. That is highway robbery. You have no other place to park so you have to pay. They should tell you this when you are checking in.

The customer service was the best that I had ever encountered. The property was close to the convention center, GlasLamp and minutes from the airport

Pro. The hotel has a great location and is very clean. Cons. No heated swimming pool Non courteous staff, every one talks about how even the smallest improvement to your trip will cost you money. They try to upsell suites, and bigger rooms by throwing discounts as a negotiation. only single size rooms. Food is just ok and they dont have much options Fitness center is small Non friendly staff, everyone talks in a way as if I am trying to get some benefits out of them. When I tried explaining that the room keys are not working on the room door because the room key scanner on the door seems dead. They service people treated me like I am acting silly and I must have kept the keys next to a magnetic device and that is why the key doesn't work, even though i had just had the keys replaced in front of him. although that key was working every where else.

Over priced and they didn’t explain ways to save on resort fees and food. And adding tip on your food bill.

The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The view was mindblowing! Look forward to staying there next time for staycation.

i am currently waiting for my security deposit to be returned to my card...a month and a half later.

Everything and the staff were great and friendly,, what I didn’t like were fees that were not mentioned at the time of booking

Being on the top floor with a bay view and city view was awesome! Although the elevators were a little slow and my ears popped going all the way up or down with no stops. The rooms do not have a microwave or mini fridge in them. Our room had a "cooler", i felt like i was camping. I had leftovers after dinner one night and the next day i asked the concierge if the kitchen could heat up my leftovers for lunch and they said there is no microwave at all in the whole hotel, i couldnt believe that! What hotel doesnt have one single microwave! Seriously! Our room key card NEVER worked for the parking garage, even though we told them every day. The parking was $35/day and that is ridiculous. It was not disclosed when we booked the hotel and why isnt it included in the room fee? The drinks were really good by the pool but $20 for a margarita is absurd! And they autortgggttmatically tack on the tip, you dont even get to choose how much! The pool is only 3.5 deep, it's like a big kiddie pool. Being close to everything was a plus, you really dont even need a car. Our second night there, sone really drunk girls woje us up at 12:30am and then again at 5:15am, super annoying. And when i tried to call the front desk to complain about the noise, the phone didnt work. We had a good time regardless of all this. Housekeeping was great! The view was amazing! The food at the reastaurant is really good. I like the walkway to Petco Park.

Liked everything except the smell in lobby area where spray something that smells like Fabreeze etc

The hotel looks nice on the outside, is close to Gaslamp district and service is great here. But there are things that were very annoying to me as a guest: the propane smell walking from the art gallery on promenade level to Starbucks, the safe in our room not working and having to wait for security twice (security informed us the same issue occurred to the folks staying next to us), the strong smell of sunscreen in the lobby/waiting area, the overpriced drinks at the bar, no free Wi-Fi, the pool was filled with kids (no adult only area) and the pool was 3'-6" deep- lack of pool towels on the weekend.

Upon attempting to check in to our Hilton Hotel which was booked through Orbitz, we were told that our reservation had been canceled. According to the Hilton hotel employee, Orbitz canceled our reservation on 8/26/19. The hotel was able to accommodate us for one of the two nights booked and assured us they would look into the matter and hopefully be able to allow us to stay for another night. Immediately after arriving to our room I called Orbitz. I was on the phone for a total of two hours. Orbitz would not help us do to the fact that they show the reservation as open and active. The only way that Orbitz would help is if I provided payment for the original reservation, payable to Orbitz, then they would find us a new hotel which I would be responsible for the nightly rate up to the dollar amount of the original nightly rate booking and Orbitz would kindly pick up the difference. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Pay for a hotel I’m not evening staying at and then pay more ??? Orbitz and Hilton played the blame game, neither taking responsibility. You want to know who suffers ?? Me! I was left with no place to stay ! It’s a holiday weekend ! I spoke with three different representatives from Orbitz all claiming different matters of the problem. We spoke with 4 different representatives from Hilton, each giving us more pieces to the puzzle that they were trying to cover up. I came to San Diego to visit my son, who serves our country in the military and deploying overseas.

Great location, great view, too much for parking, near good breataurants
