This hotel is amazing! We have stayed here several times when my husband works in the area. I cannot give enough praise!!!!! The staff here goes above and beyond to make your stay as great as possible but they also give you plenty of privacy. The work area is wonderful for my husband since he needs to print things sometimes and the meals and breakfast are awesome (kitchen area is super clean)..The room has always been perfectly clean and well stocked for simple meal preps. The only negative is that the furnishings are getting dated and the rooms need a few new spruce up color touches but the beds are super comfortable. The pool area chairs are great but the cushions also need some updates. Pool towels are small. I would recommend this hotel over and over and over. Super convenient to so many wonderful places you can walk - works wonderful for me when my husband has the car while working.
Stayed two nights in the Residence Inn during the PGA show. Check in staff was very friendly and informative. Our room was upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite which was very comfortable. Room was clean. The hotel provided complimentary breakfast each day along with a complimentary happy hour in the evenings. The hotel is walking distance from Pointe Orlando (location where bars and restaurants are.) I would definitely recommend staying here while visiting the Orlando Convention Center.
Stayed one night over the weekend at this hotel, while doing a few local activities, and turned it into a “weekend staycation”. Ample parking and the lobby area/public spaces are all very nice and the breakfast area was on par with the size of many other ones I have experienced at this brand. Upon check-in, the staff behind the desk were nice and friendly. But one thing did stand out as they recognized me as a Gold Reward Member, which is nice, but they were checking in other people and giving them all “welcome bags”. Now it could be that maybe the other two people in front of me that checked in and got these bags were Platinum level, but it was not mentioned. So it seemed if you were a Rewards Member you didn’t get a welcome bag, find that kinda odd. Room itself was fine, furniture was up to date and the living room area of the suite was of ample size with kitchen space very clean and orderly as well. Bedroom was a bit smaller actually as was the bathroom, but the room was stocked as I always request and the bed itself was very comfortable. Breakfast was normal for this brand, decent variety of foods and the staff working that morning were friendly. Overall a fine experience, I would return if the price was right and other brands were not already booked or priced to high in that area. Close to Convention Center as well for business travelers that like this brand over a more traditional hotel room
Comfortable, clean, affordable rate room close to the busy events of International Drive. Rooms were large, beds were comfortable and staff was very helpful and courteous. Would definitely stay again.
We booked a two bedroom suites during the Thanksgiving week. The first night that we stay in , my son already found a bed bug on his bed. The hotel was old although they renovated and change some furniture after we stay here a couple years ago. The location was good. A lot of restaurant and Orlando Eye(future wheel) close to hotel. The staff are very helpful for all the department. The price are reasonable.
There for 6 nights. Nice staff free coffee and breakfast. Close to all theme parks. Free dinner and drinks Mon-Wed. What more can you ask for when you have young children who can't last all day in a theme park.
We had a nice stay here. Nothing spectacular but everything was as it should be. Room was clean, breakfast was good and staff was friendly. I would stay here again. It is nicely located close to Disney and Universal parks. There is also a grocery store just a few minutes down the street.
This property is our "go to" spot when we travel for the Royal Canin National Championship dog show. It is very convenient to the convention center and to great places to eat and drink after the show. The rooms are super comfortable and the staff is superb
I booked a one bedroom suite July 19 2017 through the convention housing booking system for a one bedroom suite. I received a confirmation, gave a credit card to guarantee and added the reservation to my Marriott app. The day before arrival I did the on line check in through the app. On the day of arrival well prior to my arrival I got a notice on my phone that my room was read and stop by the desk and pick up my key. When I arrived at the desk I was told they had no room for me as they were overbooked so they were going to relocate me to the Fairfield Inn down the street( about a mile). Now I know my Marriott and there a quality difference between the Residence Inn brand and Fairfield Inn brand. Now I have nothing against Fairfield Inn I stay their on many occasion and the one they moved to is very nice. However when I am traveling on business I like the extra room the one bedroom suite gives me. On top of all this when I asked the girl at the Residence Inn desk if the rate was going to be adjusted at the Fairfield Inn she responded ,no the same rate. Now they want to charge my company the same rate for a lesser accommodation, that makes sense. It took my reporting this to the convention housing coordinator to get the right thing done with the rate. Next day Residence Inn did offer to change me to the Springhill Inn and suites however I still did not see that as equal to the Residence Inn. Morale of this story at least at this property your reservation is meaningless especially if coming to the convention center and they will overbook the hotel. As a Marriott rewards member I was surprise how little my loyalty means to them. I will not use this property again when coming to a convention in Orlando, despite the minor efforts they made to apologize,it is just not right that they overbook and bank on people cancelling. In fact I will be keeping an eye weather this is a growing trend through out all their brands.
This was my first stay at a Residence Inn after receiving a recommendation from my niece who lives in Arizona. Hotel is located on Universal Boulevard near the Orange County Convention Center and one block east of International Drive where shops and restaurants abound. The lobby was bright and airy. Check in was smooth and uneventful by a front desk agent with a nice British (?) accent who welcomed me as a Marriott Rewards member, was very professional and provided a parking pass. Check with front desk about free local shuttle transportation if interested. Our suite was very clean, spacious and felt like home with two flat screen TVs, desk with ergonomic chair and table with two chairs (see pics). Bed was clean, comfortable and we fell asleep as soon as our heads touched the pillows. All of my special requests were honored. Towel sculptures were a nice touch. Thermostat was easy to use and adjust for heat and a/c. All appliances including stainless steel dishwasher, full refrigerator and cook-top oven looked brand new, were quiet and worked fine. Dishware for four were provided. Our suite was very clean, spacious and felt like home. The floor was spotless and passed my 'footies' test. That housekeeping staff is on the ball. Room amenities such as Paul Mitchell products, were very nice. During the 6pm reception beverages included ice water, Pepsi products, ice cold tap beer, Oak Leaf red and white wines such as Sweet Red, Cab Sav, Merlot, chilled Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. Reception menu included variety cheeses, crackers, cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, and spinach dip. Breakfast starts at 6:30am and hot breakfast included waffles with optional whip cream and other flavored toppings, scrambled eggs, Andouille sausage, veggie scramble, oatmeal, coffee and tea. Other breakfast items were bread for toasting, bagels, cinnamon pastries, flavored syrups, boiled eggs, juices, packaged coco, yogurt and fresh fruit. The breakfast/evening reception area has small flat screen TVs for private use at several booths around the room. Kudos to Tatiana who constantly kept the breakfast/evening reception food items stocked and table and serving areas clean. The few hiccups were seeing tiny sugar ants around a saucer on the counter near the fruit infused water dispenser kept in the lobby and within some of the napkins during the evening reception. Also, some rust underneath the last rung of the metal bathtub towel bar rubbed off on my towel.I did complain to the front desk staff. They profusely apologized and took care of the problem immediately. I was rewarded by a manager, Gina, who thanked me for reporting the problem and who posted bonus Marriott Rewards points to my account. Now that's a hotel that wants to maintain and increase customer loyalty! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will definitely return and would recommend to others for business, leisure, vacations and/or stay-cations. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and planning to stay at another RI during our upcoming trips to Indiana and Arizona.
