The check-in experience was good. But, we stayed 5 days & the room was only cleaned once. We had to call the front desk & ask for more towels every day. The rooms were not sound proof. There were many people around our room making noise nightly. Someone was sitting in a lawn chair next to the parking lot smoking weed & the smell of what they were smoking was very strong. People were roaming around the parking lot & grounds all hours of the day & night. It felt a bit unsafe.
The pool was overcrowded & if you wanted to sit in a chair close to the cabana you had to pay to sit there. The only free chairs available were by the food station & were very few. We had to call security 2 times to place new batteries in our safe as we kept getting low battery alerts. The elevator was out for a day & that was inconvenient. We put out our “do not disturb” sign on the morning we checked out & that morning housekeeping knocked on the door to ask to clean the room with the do not disturb sign on it. The restaurants were adequate but overpriced The front desk staff was very responsive to our requests. But we should not have had to call them daily. If you have a family & get a good rate on the room & don’t mind the overcrowding of the pool, lack of housekeeping, the smell of weed in the parking lot & ppl having parties around you then this is the hotel for you.
The location was convenient to the convention center.
