The Mutiny Hotel

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Excelent location, the apartments are very spacious. My bathroom a little old. The staff very professional and very good service . I didn’t try the restaurant.

The Mutiny is in a great location. It's close to great restaurants and the bay. I would highly recommend it.

Hotel has hidden charges, 60.00 a day deposit 28.00 a day valet, should be told about this prior to booking. Valet guys snobbish and rude, maid could speak no English could no communicate at all the entire stay. She would even come into my room and move things around when I placed do not disturb on my door ! Thermostat in my room did not work well, room had old stinking smell, could not open pantry to get to appliances etc. blocked in by oversized refrigerator. Bathroom had no counter space only a sink, water would barely get warm.... no hot water like wate baths that’s it. TV had horrible reception, block frozen picture constantly. Dark and dreary rooms and hotel very depressing, not enough lighting in room, no balcony. Check out was at 11, call for a later check out and was firmly told NO I had to be out at 11, then they continued to call making sure I was getting out ! Was in such a rush I left behind some Things on the night stand, called from parking lot within 5 minutes of leaving and they called maid to tell her not to throw anything away yet I was coming back up & when I got back up to room another male staff member was heade out the door with my stuff of course the maid spoke no English !!!! Horrrible place to stay and way overpriced Dump one a good piece of real estate!

Great location across the street from Coconut Grove Sailing Center and short walk to restaurants and shops of downtown Coconut Grove

Hotel was pretty good. Food was below average and some of the staff wasn't very friendly especially the restaurant staff. Other than that the grounds were pretty and you get a lot of amenities in the room.

this was a great hotel, very comfortable with fast service and a check in that was less than two minutes! Wonderful experience and Id be happy to return!

Hotel in very bad condition, expensive, but feels like you are staying at a cheap 1/2 star hotel.

I only stayed at the Mutiny one night but would highly recommend it. We had a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a kitchen/living room area. It was just perfect. The rate was great and it was near all the shops and restaurants in the grove. The pool was quite and very nice too!!!

On a trip to visit the University of Miami, we spent a night at The Mutiny. We checked in pretty late, and got Room 210. It's a darker room even with all of the lights on, with a view not quite as nice as what we'd imagine had we been on a higher floor. Pluses - Walking distance to Coconut Grove, Cocowalk, etc. - Just a few minutes to drive to UM for those who may also be seeing the college - Full kitchenette - Balcony Minor Issues - The shower has no soap dish or storage for shampoo, etc. Therefore everything has to be put on the floor of the shower. Not a giant issue, just strange - The sofa bed is modern (e.g. looks streamlined, but is not very comfortable) - Similar to other reviewers, we has a noisy AC blower - The bed has very light covers and no bed spread Everything else like the higher seasonal winter rates and the cost of parking are just the cost of staying in that area - It's pretty common everywhere. All said, a reasonable value, and an especially good place to stay if a full kitchenette is required.

For attending regattas the in room washer/dryer and kitchen are great features. Room offering only one bed is a set back, better if they could offer two beds in addition to the available pull out. Staff is very courteous and helpful .

Very well located, walking distance from shops at cocowalk, nightlife and great restaurants like jaguar and le bouchon among others. Don't recommend the restaurant but the rooms are like small apartments. Very nice and clean.

The hotel is very nice & new a few things were damaged, but they quickly took care of it. However my room had to be switched and the new one was smaller. Wifi SHOULD BE FREE. POOL SHOULD BE DEEPER THAN 4FT. Staff is very nice and attentive. Would come back here.

Very good. Excellent service. Great location. Staff are very helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mutiny Hotel. There was a few events going on during the same weekend that made travel to and from the hotel more challenging but the hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating. If I need to come back to the area I will definitely be staying at this hotel!

I have stayed at the Mutiny many times for business over the years, but this time was for pleasure with the family. The room was very comfortable for a family of four (two little children) and the pool area was a paradise. I noticed a number of improvements in the rooms since my last visit. The kitchen makes this room an excellent value. The hotel is quiet, yet in a marvelous location. The room service staff does a great job of primping the room while you are out, including starting the dishwasher and leaving lines beautifully folded. I will be back!

The Mutiny is wonderfully located in Miami's Coconut Grove area. All the fun is right there: the shops, the bay, the eateries. However the hotel itself is showing its age and rooms have defects which are annoying but won't ruin your stay. In our case some outlets did not work, the soap dish in the shower was missing, and a lamp had a broken switch.

The suite description said the sofa bed was a queen. Not only was it not a queen, it was the thinnest, lumpiest sofabed mattress I have ever experienced. You simply cannot market a suite like this as a 4-person suite - at any price, much less for $400!

We stayed at the hotel during freshman orientation at the U of Miami. It was close to restaurants and a short drive to U of M. Would stay there again.

Beatiful hotel great location and a lot of fun to the whole family

My experience was descent. I would have preferred a better view from the balcony, which faced the parking garage. There was a problem with the hot water. We had to take 5 minute showers before the hot water would leave. But overall, the room was comfortable, staff was helpful and the location was very convenient. Would recommend
