Fontainebleau Miami Beach

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel/grounds/pools/facilities are beautiful. Gorgeous decor, clean (spotless actually) and well designed. The staff (everyone we encountered) was so friendly and worked their tails off for the guests. Rooms are spacious (bathroom especially!!) and comfortable - only complaint is no full length mirror in our room - minor but....) It is a BIG property - if you don't get around well, you may struggle with all the walking to get to and from your room/pool/restaurants etc. My family and I took full advantage of the gym, classes and the boardwalk for exercise. Amazing facility with great views, and the boardwalk is great for a walk/run/stroll. The pool area gets crowded - there are a ton of lounge chairs, but you have to go early to "save"/claim them for your day. The 21 and over pool has days where it is roped off and can make getting around the pools challenging - the other guests not attending that party have to walk all the way around to get back into hotel - sounds petty, but it was an inconvenience. Be prepared to spend money. All the food /drinks are quite expensive - delicious - but pricey. Four drinks poolside (mai tais) came to $107!! They add gratuity and a service charge - this is pretty much an area-wide custom, so be aware so you don't double tip (unless you want to!). You will need an Uber to get anywhere in South Beach, this property is located pretty far north on Miami beach, and there is not much in walking distance. It didn't stop us from exploring!

This hotel is designed to maximize profits not guest experience. One pool was closed for three days for private events, two and a half other pools were closed other days to build a landing to sell tables for a nighttime concert and the other was the stage. People race out before 8 am to try to secure pool seats. One night they had a private DJ concert outside ($350+ ticket price) so the pools closed at 3pm and the music blasted till 4am! Not relaxing and way overcrowded

It was fantastic and right next to the bay! I had a wonderful trip!

I just wished for the money I paid I would have had a better view than a top of the air conditioning on top of roof

Over priced old needs better remodeling nothing worked

Pretty hotel. Near beach. Good restaurants. Great vibes. Awesome gym. Super awesome spa. Definitely come here.

Great stay, great food, great service, great accommodations

Hotel was nice, staff was so accommodating although it took about 30 minutes to get a room even when checking in a couple hours after check in time. The rooms had beautiful bathrooms but out of date TVs and poor lighting. The pools are nice and clean, not too busy. I would recommend if they updated the rooms a bit.

You get what you pay for but I think charging $48 for parking is a little high.

Everything about the hotel was great. Besides all the hidden hotel fees and everyday parking fees. You get free parking in NYC hotels but not in Miami. This should be included when your spending multiple nights and spending in the thousands on the property. Can’t consider voiding the parking fee and hidden hotel fees?

They could do more on service. They must have changing rooms close to beach.

Beautiful beach hotel ! I would definitely go back and stay in the Fontainebleau:

Love the pool area and beach area. Lovw that we didnt need to pay for beach chairs but i also think unbrellas should be free

The food was terrible an for the price they charged for it was Absolutely ridiculous

Spectacular pool facilities and restaurants all with an ocean view

The most lovely resort in Miami beach, Great location, very good pools, Recommended!
