The Fontainebleau is a beautiful resort-style property. It’s very clean throughout. Our room was a double queen standard room that seemed a bit small in comparison to other hotels and resorts I’ve visited but it was still nice and had a scenic view of Star Island, which is across the street from the front of the property. The decor throughout is modern and sophisticated and the atmosphere is airy and spacious. There’s are about 5 restaurants, a nightclub, a day club , and 11 pools. Our check in and out was quick and painless of lounge chairs, daybeds and cabana (to rent). The level of service at the pool depends on who get. We had Crystal, who was friendly and very attentive. Norman and Sean set up our loungers and facilitated anything else we needed, were the two loviest young men we encountered during our entire stay. Shirley, another server, was nice too.

Our room that was supposed to be partial ocean view you could see about an inch of ocean water if the palms outside our window blowed a certain way. The elevators were a very long wait, no way to get a drink at the bar it was so busy,

The property was impressive at first glance, but the experience that followed left a lot to be desired. We booked two oceanview rooms, one of which ended up being pool view. Management moved rooms 2 days into tripped only to find out the room was the same, only 2 floors higher. Meh.. Several things broken, stained or in disrepair in the room. Room lacked coffee maker. No biggie right? Coffee bars downstairs opened at 6am. Tough on the early risers. Coffee from room service took 1hr, $40 later. Not even Starbucks, sheesh. Coffee bar was a glorified auto dealership style single push button coffee maker. No thanks... Beach front access from the resort closed at 6:300pm. Forget about nighttime beach sitting or the evening stroll. Roll with the punches, move to the pools only to be picked out at 6:45pm because everything shut down. Now what? Head to the room for some room service. Closed! Grrrr.... Staff was a mixed bag. Many were pleasant, several made you feel as though you were inconveniencing them. Place was mostly clean. You must wear as bracelet the whole time to be identified as welcome but half the people around the pools or throughout the property didn't have bracelets. It wasn't all terrible, we had a good time but left feeling as though everything was about nickel and diming, terrible hours of operation, sub par room quality/amenities, and we were the lucky ones to be there instead of the other way around. I hear the Eden Roc does it better..Just saying.

This hotel was very clean and the staff is super nice. I wish the pool area wasn’t a pot cloud especially with all the little kids around. The restaurants were really goo, we really enjoyed the food.

This hotel has everything you need.

I've never felt the need to post a review before in my life (28 y/o) yet feel the need to do so for the experience we had at Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Mar 2021. This was quite possibly the WORST hotel service we have ever experienced despite being the most expensive hotel we have ever booked. The staff was lethargic, unhelpful, rude, and appeared completely in over their heads, unable to properly & professionally manage the hotel. Not a single COVID-19 precaution listed on Fontainebleau's website was adhered to - HUNDREDS of people in the hotel lobby were without masks and the gym was packed with far more than 30 people, the max capacity limit proclaimed on their website and right outside the gym itself. We (1) waited 20 minutes to check-in despite only 3 parties ahead of us and 2 concierge, (2) waited 30 minutes on the hotel room phone at midnight trying to contact concierge and get clarity on whether or not breakfast was included in our stay (the concierge at check-in was unable to answer this question) before having to give up, get dressed, and go down to the lobby to ask in person, where I again waited for 20 minutes in a line of about 3 parties - I finally got the answer that a breakfast credit of $83 was included in our stay, and (3) spent $38 on breakfast the next morning and were ultimately charged in our final bill. This experience was absolutely horrible and was shared across many of the guests we chatted with and overheard during our stay.

The property is very nice but very very very understaffed. Given the number of rooms in this hotel, there were not enough eating options - including only 1 place to get coffee in the morning and the hours for outdoor dining were limited. Plus, I've never been to a resort that didn't offer frozen drinks.

Service is very slow and to get a hold of anyone to talk to them is almost impossible

Excellent resort, but was crowded for the sprig brake. I wish it was less crowded so we could enjoy a coffee without waiting 30 min online.

Our second stay at Fountainbleu. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel- (looked at same piece of plastic and bottle cap in our hallway for 5 days). The room was run down with a broken bathroom door knob and broken drawers. Very understaffed for Spring Break week. We were also disappointed with the weekend crowd who come for the day- hallways, pool area and lobby smelled like weed 24/7 and “proper attire” was definitely not enforced inside the lobby and bar area. We will not be returning to Fountainnleu.

Omg this hotel is beautiful everything was amazing the room, the pool, the restaurant, the amazing service definitely going back next vacation. So in love with the hotel

The absolute worst hotel. Why the hype?? Everything and I mean everything was a 2 hour wait. Check in - 2 hours,
