Beds are uncomfortable. Doors were slamming all night long in nearby rooms .. people smoking weed near lobby doors

Some bartenders/waiters were a bit rude but other hotel staff in the lobby were very friendly and good to be around.

Property is old. Staff isn’t kind. They promised a fridge and I didn’t get it.

Room was dilapidated and filthy. Looked as though they had only wiped countertops with greasy rag, built up scum on edges of dressers and seating. Duvet between sheets looked like it hadn’t been washed in years.

Great stay

Location was great and most staff was wonderful. Just had a bad experience with a valet who pulled up our rental car to the very front and parked it and didn’t notify us as we were sitting and waiting for 20 minutes. We are understanding people but felt that a simple sorry, when we approached them to ask about our car would have been nice. Also, for umbrella rental, a young man seated us were a couple were already set up. We had no clue until I was laying there sunbathing and they returned with their beverages and verbally and embarrassingly criticized us for taking their spot. I apologized and explained myself and we worked things out and she calmed down and understood because her tone of voice changed. I spoke to the young man who sat us there and told him that I understood he was just trying to help and do his job. Though, I feel the hotel should have a chair for each guest if it’s going to advertised that it’s included in our fees. This situation could have been prevented. It ruined our mood and resulted in us leaving and driving to another beach 25 minutes away. I am not sure if the hotel’s dropped prices had anything to do with the rowdy spring breakers. Our first experience of South Beach was greatly impacted by the things we can’t unsee. We tried to make the best of everything but feel this area isn’t as nice as it was and aren’t sure if we would give it a second try. Oh, to top it off we were billed for many snack bar items that were knocked off their sensors! Ugh

Excellent customer service! Everyone was on top of their game, front desk kinda slow, not full staff at from on rush hour...food was great and drinks as well! Definitely will come back!

BUYER BEWARE - Not a Family Friendly resort as advertised on Orbitz or at the Royal Palm site. Do NOT take children unless you are ok with partying and open drug use. Not enough character space for me to complete a proper review and explain.

It was great experience, right on the beach very convenient.

Coming from the hospitality industry...The staff were exceptional! True hospitality! Especially the bellman the assistants with taxis, bikes, etc.. the beach/towel and food service on beach were great too! The location is wonderful!! The property is a little tired and in need of repairs here and there and some refreshing but our stay was wonderful!

There was absolutely poor service at the pool bar/restaurant area and beach front. They always ran out of food and beverage items and the wait to order was extremely long. I also had a hard time receiving new bath towels and wash cloths. I had to call 3 times over the get them. When I did one was dirty. The bathroom by the pool smelled horrid, like urine. They also ran out of pool and beach towels numerous times. This hotel had overall terrible service.

Very unorganized front desk staff some we cheerful but the wait was extremely long wasted hours in line on a vacation. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Other then that there’s hope but ultimately those are two huge problems. The rooms were a little beat up .

The property was outdated and not very clean. This property charges your card $150 each night of your stay. They do it in the middle of the night as to not alert hotel guests. This is a very conniving tactic and not conducive to a high end resort style property
