Private Oasis means you are “renting” a unit from a private owner. The front desk staff do nothing to help with any issues. The toilet in the room was clogged and had flooded the bathroom when I arrived. It took a long time to get resolved and when I complained at checkout they basically said it wasn’t their problem and I would have to call the property manager who is off site. The TV didn’t work, and they said the same thing. It’s up to the property manager to maintain the unit, not them. The restaurant is closed for renovations which is not mentioned on their website. The hallway reeked of pot. The room was fine with a nice bed but otherwise nothing special. The standard king room is very small but does match the photo description so no surprises. Just be aware that there is no space to move around, basically just the bed and a small desk taking up the whole room.
Great location in Coconut Grove, which is on the edge of a huge renaissance (has plenty of restaurants and shops open with much more under construction). Rooms were spacious with a walk in closet and a loud inroom fridge, but decor a little dated and tired - bathroom needs renovation and outlets inconvenient for charging phones, etc. No extra charge for garage parking but turns and spaces are very tight so don't bring a large vehicle. Housekeeping was spotty, missed at least one day so we ran out of coffee and front desk didn't have any to give. Tile floors were filthy and turned bare feet black. We didn't use the pool or gym, but a rather lively crowd each day seemed to be enjoying it. Do be aware this is a party part of town! We could hear the next room's tv pretty clearly so if someone was having a party in the hotel you would definitely know it - a man in the lobby was complainig bitterly to the front desk about a party on the floor below his room and got only a shrug from the clerk. But overall, we thought the value was there in high season and would stay again.

Really upset that the pool was not available for the week. The area is amazing with the restaurants and shopping. Wish they could have accommodated us regarding no pool or restaurant.
Everything exceeded expectations
I have stayed at this property many times over the years. You can’t beat the location for a stay in Coconut Grove! Clean and friendly staff! I like a balcony with a view of the bay and many other places more expensive. Unfortunately the restaurant up on the 8th floor and been closed for many years now and only open for breakfast for a fee. It is also unfortunate that most of our stays, only a couple of elevators are working and you will have to wait a while! Lastly the pool was not open because of a permit issue, I think, and you were forced to go to a hotel next door to swim. I will still try to stay here in the future, but will most likely check ahead to see if these issues are resolved.
Parking was terrible. No valet and no one helps. Pool area closed. Rooms need to be cleaned. Tile floors were dirty.
