We've stayed at the Arya 8 times now in different units. My daughter goes to UM and we always stay here when moving her in/parent's weekend. The building is a mix of hotel rooms and privately owned condos that are all decorated differently (some with upgraded features. Some with the bare minimum)
This unit faced the back and overlooked the hotel's event space and parking garage with a sliver of a water view (Bayside) if you looked hard to the right. It was very comfortable, clean and had a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. My only issue was that the electronic privacy shade was not operable. It would made noise but the shade would not go down. I sent a few messages at check in to the management company but did not receive a response. So I went to the front desk for help. The hotel sent up maintenance who confirmed it was broken. So we had to sleep in the unit with absolutely no privacy and tons of light (nighttime and sunrise). The hotel sent someone to repair it the next day. Should have been operating. Additionally the front door would not lock at all. Almost like the door was warped and would not catch the lock. So I used the security bar and put the bar stools in front of the door each night. The front desk told me to push the button to lock. However, it was a key lock system and not electronic.
Location is great. Free parking is great. We did not use any of the amenities (pool, dining, etc) and only made 1 coffee and took 1 shower during our stay.
