I was lucky enough to spend my birthday celebration in Miami Beach at the Ritz Carlton - what a nice way to celebrate! The hotel was nice and the location was perfect. We'd definitely stay here again. Pros: + Great location, lots of shops and restaurants near the hotel + Within walking distance to many things + Great Miami Vice drink and pina coladas + Beach access + Large pool + Gym + Nice and attentive staff + Large rooms + Great salads at the outdoor hotel restaurant Cons: - All the up charges, such as $25 per day charge for an umbrella on the beach - Drinks are pricey but they taste good!!! - They add 18% gratuity to everything (we would have tipped more than 18%, but it's annoying when it's automatically charged)
Did a three day weekend there, right on the beach with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, beautiful hotel right in the middle of everything in south beach. The only bad thing the breakfast buffet was very expensive.
This was a great visit. The hotel was clean and I enjoyed my room. I ate in the lounge and the workers were really nice. I stayed overnight before a cruise. This hotel is way cleaner than other hotels in South Beach. I will stay here again.
The Ritz Carlton South Beach is an outstanding property, it has become my favorite spot in Miami Beach. This was a Five Star property before it was damage and closed down by the Hurricane. looking forward to seeing what it will become when it opens again in the Spring.
This was our third trip to Miami Beach and definitely the best place to stay at. The location is superb right off the beach. Pool area is fantastic. The best part of staying here is that the staff treats you like royalty.
The beach outside the hotel was fabulous, the beach chairs and towels are an added plus. Pool is very nice, rooms lovely as always, and club lounge has excellent snacks. Nice location. The staff was great.
We stayed a couple of nights here whilst visiting some family in Miami on our trip to Florida. A fantastic location right next to the beach in Miami. Great friendly staff. Great views we had from our room of the beach. Great bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable beds. Nice touch with the complimentary drinks in the evening.
Lobby is dark and surprisingly badly decorated . I’m not a fan of orange and brown. Ever. We had a nice room overlooking the beach. It was fine but no coffee + tea making facilities, bathroom was quite small. Balcony was on top of the Neighbour. Could get noisy at night. I can say the staff was friendly and attentive. We went during the music festival. Nice location, definitely if you are wanting to be in the center of the atmosphere. Breakfast was average, seating was dodgy. Inside was quite dark and boring. Outside was no reservations and could get tricky if you came late. As a hotel... it does have WiFi, valet, outdoor seating, a pool, great views of the beach (if you request a room with a beach view and are willing to pay more). It’s just I’ve stayed at The Ritz in Madrid and in Colorado , and this one did not seem “exclusive” or offer the privacy and elegance I’m used to from this brand. Good for families because of the pools and access to the beach.
Drove down to Miami for our wedding anniversary. Pros : Art-deco hotel, well maintained, great location directly on South Beach, proximity to Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road outdoor pedestrian shopping. Cons: If you are not into art-deco, this may not be for you.
We had a great time in Miami at the Ritz Carlton, the beach was lovely including this young named Eluckson who was very helpful yet professional and informative on how to enjoy parts of the beach we didn’t know about... THANK YOU SO MUCH HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE!
