Not ultra luxe, but very nice. If you want Ritz Carlton go to the Ritz Carlton. If you want an excellent place to stay, with clean rooms and an accommodating staff, stay here. You’ll save a bundle and miss out on virtually nothing.

Nice lobby, but that was it. Smelly small room. ‘Kitchenette was ridiculously small. No counter space. Coffee maker temperamental. Bed old, sagging, sheets didn’t fit. Room looked nothing like the example when booking. Noise from next door, someone practicing their cello every afternoon for hours! Parking very expensive. Staff claim they had no idea about self parking, but used the public parking lot for valet. Paid premium price for a very sub standard room for the price! Not impressed at all.

The kid upfront looks like he don’t want to be here everything else is top notch i would come here anytime but with one condition the crew upfront needs to be more welcoming and act like they do care for customers and not act like everyone that walks in here ia been here for decades parking ia tough you have to either valet or park pay next door which is not the best but can’t ask for a perfect environment i guess 5 star all day for me and my guests

Great location and close to the beach and nice and clean

I love it it’s very very very good and nice stuff working there

Overall a good stay. Location is walking distance to Starbucks, pier, restaurants a Fresh Market and more.

Rooftop pool terrible staff very difficult up to get a chair and the roof restaurant service almost impossible to order food or drinks. Front desk people are very unaccomodating. You have to wait for elevators forever.

Allison Moncada was very helpful with ensuring that our guests had no issues with check-in. She went above and beyond to ensure that accommodations were available for one guest who flew in on a red-eye and needed an early check-in. Thanks Allison!

Before arriving, my plans changed so I went from a 3 night reservation to one night. I arrived late at night and left early the next morning so I couldn't take advantage of the good location in Cocnut Grove. The hotel lobby was nice, new and updated, but when I got off the elevator on my floor (18), I was terribly disappointed. The hallway carpet was old and dirty with many bleach type stains along the way to my room. My room itself wasn't any better. The kind I don't really want to walk barefoot in. It was old, outdated, and dirty. I was happy to only be staying there for one night. I paid far too much for that one night for the quality of that room (especially once you include overnight valet parking).

Our room was very tired looking with a very dirty white counter chair. What we weren't expecting was an entire kitchen which was a great surprise. Stove, large fridge with an ice maker, toaster, plates, utensils, etc. It was wonderful to have that so we give the room a 4 because of it. Plus we had a wrap around balcony that we enjoyed. We chose this location because of the proximity to the restaurants and ability to get to the Miami Open. Players were staying there as well. I would definitely stay there again the next time we go. We were charged at the end of our stay for 2 breakfasts and parking lot night. Meanwhile we never had a meal or even a drink at hotel and had no car during our stay. We just ubered everywhere. They did take the charges away but if we had not done a full check out, we would not have know about the charges. Check you room charges.

Some 2 years ago stay was great. However this trip room furniture, tub drain, toilet in disrepair. Halls smelled of mold. Has changed from Sonesta no longer owns, but rooms are now individually owned. Sonesta does management, and upkeep falls to a board.

Probably my favorite vacation. The staff, pool, hotel quality. Were all 5 stars

With our experience with another so-called Hotel. The Sonesta made a stay a pleasurable one. Their staff were friendly and willing to go out of their way to make our stay worth wild. They made us feel like we were the most important people to come across their path. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We came to Miami for a relaxing vacation. Coconut Grove was recommended to us by a friend. He stayed at the Sonesta Hotel and really enjoyed it. This was 10 years ago so we were a little worried that things have changed. They did not. The hotel is located right off the main street of Coconut Grove in a quiet location. The pool, located on the 8th floor, looked out at the bay. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. The rooms were comfortable. My only issue was that the restaurant adds in a gratuity no matter the party size. Thank god someone mentioned it to me, otherwise I would have double tipped on every meal. They should have said something to us when we received the bill. Other than that issue, we had a fantastic time at the Sonesta Hotel.

Convenient, efficient, modern and soothing. Great, friendly and helpful staff.could not ask for more.

Arrived early after a red-eye flight, and the front desk was as accommodating as possible in trying to allow me (extra) early check-in.

Great location and amazing views from the pool and restaurant!!

I did a short trip to Miami for shopping and stayed for the first time at the Sonesta Hotel. Very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly!

good hotel, nice place but has a problem with the free internet.
