This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed. It felt like a hostel and a step down from a Motel 6. Think about it that.
Don't be fooled with the photo they post. We saw that this was rated a 5 out of 10, and we have rated it a 1, just because it provided a bed, a roof over our heads and running water.
We booked this hotel with another couple for a quick stay before our cruise departure. Our friends arrived first and were met with a very rude guy at the counter. There was no early check-in, so they asked if they can pay and park on the property. They were told no, even though there were several spots available. BTW, the parking fee is $30 and there are not enough spots for all hotel guests. If you leave and there is no spot available, you're out of luck. We had our own check-in nightmare with another rude employee also.
The 2 rooms we stayed had the bare minimum. Our friends' room didn't even have a bed cover or towels! When they asked for a cover, someone came up with a wadded up comforter that had cigarette holes in it. Both rooms had 70s wallpaper and old beds, and nothing matched. The ceiling vents were filthy in the bathrooms, and there was very low water pressure.
My friend went down to the lobby early the next morning to read and have coffee. An employee came in around 6:30am and scolded her for turning on the lights! She said "the owner doesn't want the lights on before 7:00"! Couldn't believe it.
Terrible experience. You get what you pay for.
