Milagro is the most kind and nice pool attendant that I have met in years. Great job! You do an Amazing job and make a beautiful day with your service. Hopefully you stay with us forever at Hyde pool midtown
We recently stayed two nights at Hyde Midtown and absolutely loved our time there! The Rooms: First, off the building is nearly brand new, so everything is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The rooms are also very large (we stayed in A Hyde Suite) and well designed. We were blown away by our suite: the attention to detail, the double vanity, and the kitchenette far exceeded our expectations. The Amenities: The pool area was stunning. The pool itself is large and incredibly clean and the surrounding area had plenty of chairs for guests to use. Additionally, there is great service at the pool from the moment you arrive until the time you leave, including an attendant that supplies towels and helps you get situated in your lounge chair to a pool bar and drink service. The fitness center is also very large and has an abundance of machines, equipment, and even yoga mats for your fitness needs. Hospitality: As described above, the hotel is incredible, but it is the hospitality that made our experience a perfect one. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and a sense of genuine hospitality from the hotel staff, Anthony and Dajia. They provided great recommendations for nearby places to grab a bite, actively ensured we were enjoying our stay, and greeted us each time we passed by. Each time we came back, it truly felt like "home" and this was largely due to the authenticity and warmth of the hotel team. In summary, the Hyde Midtown is a lovely place to stay for so many reasons and the area around the hotel has great places to eat and explore. We highly recommend it!
I usually stay near South Beach, but I gave the Hyde-Midtown a try and had a great experience. The front desk was very helpful, all of them. The rooftop restaurant offers a great view and great service. The hostess Kadesha was especially awesome. She offered great service as well as direction on events in Miami that week. Loved my stay!
I have stayed here plenty of times in the past 2 months. I absolutely love the service and the clean rooms. Darlene at the front desk is a star, she always goes above and beyond for her guests and we always look forward to seeing her. Thank you Darlene for your incredible service you are truly an amazing asset for this hotel. Everything is lovely, I will definitely be coming back.
This was my 3rd trip to Miami, but the 1st time staying any where other than SB. The Hyde is perfectly located to be walking distance to Wynwood, Design District Shopping, some great bars, and a simple Uber to the beach. The room was great, and the pool/hot tub was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and helpful as usual for an SBE property. Thanks Dajia! - Sumit
Parking was well handled by professional valets. Front desk was efficient and because hotel was slow, we received an upgrade to a small suite. Room was functional, modern/industrial and very comfortable. Pool area and fitness rooms are seemingly shared with residents but the facilities are excellent. Hotel does not yet have meaningful food service but there are a number of eateries in the neighborhood.
The hotel is very comfortable and stylish. Staff is superkind and professional. Pool is a real urban oasis A special mention for Darlene, she is always capable to meet customer’s needs and requests, with a sincere smile.
My BF and I stayed for NYE. The hotel's best feature is its location. It appears to have opened recently. They should've waited. It is not ready for prime-time. Two young ladies at check-in were nice, but there was a guy (wish I'd gotten his name) who pointedly told my BF and I that there is a zero tolerance policy for noise resulting in removal if there is a complaint (we are both black professionals over 35). This appears to be the low end hotel in the sbe brand; at least the furnishings make it look so. Shower was tiny. They had only stocked towels for one. One positive of the room was the kitchen area. The poolside bar is not yet open. There was no poolside service of any kind. The way over-priced "room service" breakfast arrived cold in a shopping bag (one continental and one egg breakfast for $55). I wouldn't recommend staying here.
With only four reviews, I wish I had reviewed yelp like I always do but I forgot due to travel stress. The hotel seems nice. The room seems very modern and spacious, and the area is beautiful. That said I think the most important element in any temporary residence is empathy and hospitality, both are lacking in this hotel. I am not picky when it comes to hotels and so it’s a very high bar for me to be disappointed. After a long day traveling internationally and multiple mishaps. While checking in I immediately said, “look I’m going to need late check out”. First of all in my experience, check out is always noon, these folks said check out was 11am. I was told that I should call early in the morning, after I just talked about needing to rest. Well, I found it in me to wake up and call and the gentleman who answered casually denied my request. Even after pleading with him. I’m now fully awake writing this review. It cost them nothing. The room would probably still be dirty at 1pm and the next check-in isn’t till 3/4pm at the earliest. There’s even a good chance I would have been out by 11am but I wanted the late check out so that I have the option should I need it. That’s simply ridiculous. Money isn’t everything, maximizing capacity isn’t everything and will not sell rooms for you. People may not remember who you are, what you did or what you said but they will remember how you made them feel. They will talk about that and that’s how you sell rooms. Based on other yelpers review, it seems that they are repeat offenders. This is 2018/almost 2019, people have options and this is Miami. Just looking nice is not enough. Service is the biggest factor. My goal is not to derail other costumers but to make sure they know what they are getting into when they book at this place. If you are looking for a nice pillow to lay your head, then this is your spot. That’s all the value they offer. My hope is that management reads this and changes, if not this path will quickly make this business less successful than envisioned based on the work I see that has been put into this place. They did offer to hold my luggage, as if they were doing a favor. Sir/ma’am that has been standard practice for ages. That said, nice room and area. I haven’t used anything in the room so I don’t know if it all works. But I am worried after reading reviews. Fingers crossed 🤞 and hoping everything I need works since I have to be out of here at 11am. Some are probably wondering why I posted this before checking out. Well I don’t need to be out before letting my thoughts known.
My client booked me here for 3 nights. I was happily surprised of how large the suite was, with a small kitchen, it was more like an apartment. Stylish decor, but still not overwhelming. I had arrived from Paris and in need of a good night sleep, I surely appreciated the quietness of the room. Great staff, charming and helpful. Excellente location, with good restaurants within walking distance. I should be returning to Miami soon and I’m strongly considering staying there.
