My BF and I stayed for NYE. The hotel's best feature is its location. It appears to have opened recently. They should've waited. It is not ready for prime-time. Two young ladies at check-in were nice, but there was a guy (wish I'd gotten his name) who pointedly told my BF and I that there is a zero tolerance policy for noise resulting in removal if there is a complaint (we are both black professionals over 35). This appears to be the low end hotel in the sbe brand; at least the furnishings make it look so. Shower was tiny. They had only stocked towels for one. One positive of the room was the kitchen area. The poolside bar is not yet open. There was no poolside service of any kind. The way over-priced "room service" breakfast arrived cold in a shopping bag (one continental and one egg breakfast for $55). I wouldn't recommend staying here.
With only four reviews, I wish I had reviewed yelp like I always do but I forgot due to travel stress. The hotel seems nice. The room seems very modern and spacious, and the area is beautiful. That said I think the most important element in any temporary residence is empathy and hospitality, both are lacking in this hotel. I am not picky when it comes to hotels and so it’s a very high bar for me to be disappointed. After a long day traveling internationally and multiple mishaps. While checking in I immediately said, “look I’m going to need late check out”. First of all in my experience, check out is always noon, these folks said check out was 11am. I was told that I should call early in the morning, after I just talked about needing to rest. Well, I found it in me to wake up and call and the gentleman who answered casually denied my request. Even after pleading with him. I’m now fully awake writing this review. It cost them nothing. The room would probably still be dirty at 1pm and the next check-in isn’t till 3/4pm at the earliest. There’s even a good chance I would have been out by 11am but I wanted the late check out so that I have the option should I need it. That’s simply ridiculous. Money isn’t everything, maximizing capacity isn’t everything and will not sell rooms for you. People may not remember who you are, what you did or what you said but they will remember how you made them feel. They will talk about that and that’s how you sell rooms. Based on other yelpers review, it seems that they are repeat offenders. This is 2018/almost 2019, people have options and this is Miami. Just looking nice is not enough. Service is the biggest factor. My goal is not to derail other costumers but to make sure they know what they are getting into when they book at this place. If you are looking for a nice pillow to lay your head, then this is your spot. That’s all the value they offer. My hope is that management reads this and changes, if not this path will quickly make this business less successful than envisioned based on the work I see that has been put into this place. They did offer to hold my luggage, as if they were doing a favor. Sir/ma’am that has been standard practice for ages. That said, nice room and area. I haven’t used anything in the room so I don’t know if it all works. But I am worried after reading reviews. Fingers crossed 🤞 and hoping everything I need works since I have to be out of here at 11am. Some are probably wondering why I posted this before checking out. Well I don’t need to be out before letting my thoughts known.
My client booked me here for 3 nights. I was happily surprised of how large the suite was, with a small kitchen, it was more like an apartment. Stylish decor, but still not overwhelming. I had arrived from Paris and in need of a good night sleep, I surely appreciated the quietness of the room. Great staff, charming and helpful. Excellente location, with good restaurants within walking distance. I should be returning to Miami soon and I’m strongly considering staying there.
The staff including front desk and housekeeping were all great. Very friendly and accommodating. The design of the room is one of the worst I have seen while traveling. The bathroom has a sliding door which does not close completely and leaves about 2 feet of glass uncovered. The head of the bed is right there so you can easily see right into the bathroom. If you were traveling alone it would be OK but with others there is no privacy. Additionally if someone gets up at night and turns on the light it exposes the light to the whole bedroom. We had a suite so I don’t know whether the other rooms are set up like this, but was really not happy with the set up. The location is good but not sure if I would stay here again.
Located in the heart of Midtown Miami surrounded by nice restaurants, shops and services. The rooms are new, spacious, nice bathroom with two wash basins, microwave, kitchen utensils, fridge, safe, iron, robes, very clean. Ours had a balcony. There's a great gym and the outdoor swimming pool/jacuzzi is particularly nice. Internet service is included, however it is rather slow and you often need to log back in. Parking is valet only and $40 per day, which is to be expected in this part of town. A bottle of water is $11 from the mini-bar. The staff is very helpful.
My stay started off wonderfully! Upon arriving to the hotel the valet was prompt to assist me with my luggage. Check in was simple, and the room was quite spacious for being just a "studio". As nice as the room was I found myself enjoying the pool for most of my stay. The location is prime! There were so many restaurants nearby, so I was able to challenge my pallet to something new for each meal. The staff spoke of an on site restaurant opening soon, but it was to open after I left. Oh well..at least its something I can look forward to when I come back in Jan. All in all I forgot I was staying in a hotel which is a nice change of pace!
Stayed there for 4 nights as we discovered Wynwood, Midtown and Little Haiti. Hotel rooms are excellent with a aesthetic touch. Enjoyed the large rooftop swimming pool in the morning and evening, just before heading into town. Great plus is the superfriendly and helpful staff.
We stayed here for 2 nights on a ‘staycation’. The hotel was in soft opening and these are my impressions: nice location if you’re not looking to stay on the beach. Midtown Miami is close to all city attractions and you will be in a walking distance from the design district and Winwood - the new city attractions. Staff was well trained and the facilities brand new. Would be perfect if you need a HQ for ArtBasel Miami. But there are some issues with the project that tend to aggravate with time (some poor finishings, etc). The only real bad thing I saw is that on the studio we got, the AC unit is literally on your bedside! Very noisy too.
We had an emergency and needed a quick place to stay for the week. The staff bent over backwards to help and got us into a great room. What was initially going to be a disaster trip ended up being a great one. Thanks so much to the staff, especially Johan at the front desk.
We really enjoyed our stay today. The room is clean, modern and has a refreshing scent. The staff are helpful and the property is near to almost everything you need like bar, restaurants, and mall. The only thing that I didn’t like is that our sink is clogged but overall, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
