it is older but has some charm - it is updated in there ways that matter. the location is nice, on the walking/running paths, which have exercise equipment along the trail. the plaza is right there, and many dining options are easily walkable.

This location is really close to shopping, food, and a nicely paved area to get exercise. The room was not as clean I hoped it would be and the shower water pressure was almost nonexistent. I didn’t request a handicap accessible room, but I got stuck with one. The refrigerator in the room was off and when I opened it, the worst smell came from it. Someone had left ice cream in the tiny freezer part. The screaming child for our adjoining room clued me in on how thin the walls were. Overall, we made it work.

None of the amenities promised were provided, no restaurant or room service no coffee or even a complimentary bagel , just a finger pointing to the next block where a restaurant is, no apology even though we got an executive suite. COVID or not we paid top dollar and expected at least an apology for false advertising. The TV and cable was 3rd wold, you couldn’t review the guide without sitting off your channel ...oh and $4 water bottles lol, give me a break

The hotel was good, we were there for a shopping trip. Because of COVID the bar, restaurant and pool were closed. We had some issues with the AC in our room, after talking to the front desk, Matt?, was very helpful in resolving the issue and eventual gave us a different room. I would definitely stay there again as it was so close to the Plaza and we could walk everywhere.

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, great price for the value. I liked the outdoor patio place to hang out, classy fun hotel bar with great bartender and live musician. What's not to love

What happened to this place? 2nd time here will be our last. Rude front staff, cold coffee in lobby, tv channels wouldn’t tune, vallet attendant wasn’t outside, and the blanket on the bed was as thick as a sheet? We weren’t sure what happened as we had been here a few years ago. I know they are doing a remodel but our review is not even based on that. Will stay somewhere else on the plaza next time.

Great staff, clean and comfortable Tremendous location

It was the perfect place to stay for a girl's weekend! Located in the Country Club Plaza shopping, just steps away from all the shops and restaurants. Cozy bedding and a clean room. And the staff was very helpful. I highly recommend a stay here.

Rooms are small, but building is quaint, and located right on the plaza, you can walk anywhere. The rooms are remodeled and clean, and the staff is super nice. Parking is very close, and you should definitely try the breakfast, affordable and good. The only downside is there is very little closet space (tiny armoire), and on the lower floors at least it is a little noisy.

Excellent location, close to everything we wanted to do! Great staff, good amenities.

We love this hotel and always stay there when in KC. One of the few in the area with queen beds.

Hotel exceeded expectations except on price. Was priced similar to a full service premium hotel, which it is not. Otherwise, we found the hotel to be very nice, clean and great location. Would stay here again if rates were inline with similar caliber hotels.

Very clean and comfortable. Had fridge and microwave which could not find in other hotels I searched in area. It was a great stay!! Desk had a pull out table so could position anywhere in room to watch tv and be on computer at same time..very convenient!! Would stay there my next time in KC!

Historical Hotel it was beautiful. Perfect location for a Girls Weekend.

It was excellent as always! The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable! Love the memory foam mattresses!

Very nice, clean, and comfortable. Easy check-in, front desk was helpful in recommending locations to eat at and things to do for our quick overnight stay.
