First time in Royal Sands and we loved it! Awesome staff: to mention a few Miguel Chavez from the restaurant, German Garcia concierge, Antonio Pech from the lobby (not sure what his job description is). All these workers took VERY good care of us and made our stay extra special!!! Thank you!!! We will be back next year to be sure!!! Food was excellent!!!!

Perfect. They even gave us a free upgrade to beachfront view.

This was our third time in Cancun. First time at the royal sands. Staff was very friendly. Food was great, loved the options, especially being able to take the shuttle to the sister hotels and eat there. We were upgraded to a beachfront villa which was stunning, so grateful for that. The walls are pretty thin I'd say, could hear chairs moving around, people's beds banging, etc. beach was very nice, lots of seaweed at the moment though. Major con for us was their timeshare presentation. Husband got sucked into it and I had to go with him. We're told it's 90 mins, we were there for over 2 hours. Told them we were not interested for over 30 mins, they kept pushing us into it because they said we didn't see the value in the timeshare. It was disrespectful and completely irritating at that point. So stay away from that no matter what they offer you for you to attend.

The hotel had a beautiful beach, was clean and the staff were very helpful! We will be back for sure!!

Cancun is beautiful. It is a focus on relaxation, excursions and shopping as opposed to a cultural experience. Do not exchange your US dollars for Pesos. From the moment we disembarked, my daughter and I were overwhelmed by the locals trying to sell us time shares to excursions to necklaces. Buyer beware. The Royal Sands is a timeshare. We took the shared shuttle to the hotel. Long wait in line. Greeted by the Concierge who allowed us US dollars in exchange for an 1.5 hour timeshare sales pitch. Concierge seemed to lose interest after gaining points for signing us up for excursions. It was worth it since we met an incredible sales gentleman from Cuba who shared interesting information about the hotel, and showed us their luxurious very upscale villa. We did use the money towards some fabulous excursions that included zip lining, Tulum Ruins, snorkeling in caverns, cenote swimming, catamaran adventure, atv, rappelling, incredible spa (massage and seaweed wrap at hotel), and fish spa. Food was mediocre on main campus but better at specialty restaurants, staff competency varied. Do tip the wait staff and your drivers. Beautiful pool and well kept gardens.

The staff is outstanding the grounds are extraordinarily clean... the food was pretty darn amazing and there's a Starbucks and a market in the middle of the property. We received a complementary upgrade to an ocean view room that was breathtaking and A $50 resort credit for being V.I.P. members of Orbits. The mall is a five minute walk. They have a shuttle to all the properties that are included in the all inclusive package. The restaraunts that I loved the most were Hacienda Sisal and El Conquistador. They both require reservations so plan your whole week of dinners out ahead of time with the concierge if possible. The sports bar had Karioke two nights and that was fun even though the DJ wasnt very good at keeping the momentem going by playing too many songs in between and skipping over people. They had a lovely dinner show I recommend at Pancho Willys, which was also included in our all inclusive package as well and it was followed by a very fun kaiokee event. All alcohol and even room service was included at this resort. The mini bar was simple, but it was stocked daily. There is not an ATM that dispenses pesos at this hotel so they have you convert it after with a passport and the rate never matched the rate on my phone , however the ATMs that dispenses pesos give you the Fed rate so I recommend that you use the one at the mall. Overall we went to a few resorts and ours was by far the nicest and most inclusive of food and drink and amenities. I definitely recommend them!

When we arrived we were informed that we’d have to change rooms halfway through our trip. We complained and they showed us that it was listed in the fine print of our booking. They told us we could find another resort to stay at if we didn’t like it. We complained enough that they agreed to call the manager. Once I threatened to write a bad review, they called the manager a second time and found a room for us for our entire stay. We had a couple other problems while we were there. They fixed them both, but only after we argued with them for a while.

Our party of 12, 8 adults and 4 kids, had an amazing stay. Good food, great hospitality and cleanliness, overall a wonderful experience.

The hotel and the staff were great. The only disapppintment was the quality of the food. There are many options, which we did try but we were not impressed with any of it, except for the Caesar Salad, it was great!!

Very good enjoy lot beach are good and foods are very testy we will recommend our friends

We had an issue and the manager was nothing but rude. They staff was not helpful or coordinated with each other. The food, ok. The drinks, absolutely awful.

The Royal Sands and Spa is perfect! It is the cleanest place we have stayed at. There is always someone cleaning. The staff is awesome, they are nice, accommodating, and always trying to make your stay perfect. I would stay here again because of the staff. The resort is beautiful and we couldn’t have asked of anything more!!

The room was a beautiful suite and the view is amazing. Wish they had shows at night for entertainment. Sisal mexican restaurant was really good too. Family vacation was very relaxing.

We went to The Royal Sands during Spring Break for a "Family Vacation". As always we had a wonderful time and the staff never fail us! This is our 5th time staying at The Royal Sands and definitely won't be our last. We stayed for 8 glorious days and for me it went way too fast. We met our family there and at times it was a very large party of 14 for dinner and the staff always accommodated us even with the shuttles to off site restaurants, we had our own private shuttle to accommodate our large party. That's just one example how they go out of their way for you during your stay. We always get the one bedroom suite because we enjoy having the large balcony for the two of us. Already I can't wait to return to paradise! See y'all next year!

Everyone was so happy. It was genuine and such a treat for us to enjoy a great week.

Concierge walked us up to our room, which had an ocean view which was absolutely gorgeous. The room was nice, but the bedding was odd - just sheets and a burlapesque coverlet. The food was good and the staff were very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing staff... always working hard Great food choices, nice poolside service

friendly staff air condition is noisy when working, refrigerator is noise nice all drinks include and room service.
